I laughed out loud at that thread gotchee, paulie was torn a new **** mercilessly.
Loved this quote: "Most definitely MUG of the Month, and leading the way in the MUG of the Year stakes. I will be observing going forward to form a view as to whether this is an unfortunate one-off, or whether the OP spouts drivel on a continuous basis......... |

Yes silver it's a classic. I was wondering why he gave me both barrels last night but now I understand.
I suppose he had to take it out on someone. |

Yeah gotchee even by his standards he seemed like he was about to blow a casket.

Funniest thread I've read in a long time, as they say laughter is good therapy.

Sad that anyone would spend their time on here highlighting a tongue in cheek comment. It should have been spelled out on here recently to the original poster that people are interested in Paulie Walnut's comments but have absolutely no interest in the Gothchee's google level of knowledge (being extremely kind there).
While you're at it apologise to Stamford Bridge-a decent poster that this troll has chased from here. |

By:
dj876.....it doesn't bother me people poking fun about some soccer match.....I couldn't give 2 hoots if stoke scored 5 goals a game or 5 goals a year.....soccer doesn't interest me.....find it boring.....and find people who "support" a team a bit strange.....
the gotchee is a funny fish......his inadequacies make him feel the need to get into rows with people who do have a good level of knowledge..... |

DJ 876 appealing to Paulie Wallnuts for friendship is embarrassing.
They won't let you in DJ mainly because you are craven have difficulty remembering things and your ideas on gambling are so stilted that you are Harrington like. Your short fuse and tantrums not conducive to gambling either. Your comment about highlighting a mistake is ironic as you ridiculed Tony57 for some mistake, tossed it about for awhile but came back to it yourself and had another go. I think The Gotchee is a decent poster,I disagree with him about Aidan OBrian and the Walshes but don't doubt he is a knowledgeable poster. |

The Chairman's authoritative response somehow believing that his opinion has still some credibility.
Let's just take a glance at your recent, valuable and insightful predictions. Pink hat almost rates a nap vote for a mares maiden hurdle (trading at evens)-a blind man would know she was briefly outpaced over 20 furlongs the time before, the step back to 2 miles wasn't going to suit and you had PM on her back-a 7lb penalty against the pros. Wicklow Gold-A maximum lay at 6/4 because Ruby rides Tramore so poorly,an amazing argument put forward. Wicklow Gold wins by 27 lengths. Then we had your bucket and sand expedition where you gave your considerate advice to a poster on the racing forum to have his last $850 on carried at 7/4,this did at least managed to place. I won't even mention your laughable theory on "Meade and Mullins avoiding each other in bumpers",I think it's 15 out of the last 17 now that WPM's has had a runner when NM has. As for me appealing for friendship to Paulie,I believe his opinions are worth reading that's it,I don't believe yours or the Gotchee's (I notice that the Gotchee or you don't refute that he chased Stamford bridge from here)are but that is just my opinion.I seem to remember you recently heaping praise on Keen Leader-"the greatest punter I have see in all my decades of going racing",so if you want to dance to that song, you're more than welcome. |

Is dj876 the same guy who said Atfisherscross should be a 1/4 shot?
Gillian Walsh is Rubys agent? Pour Moi and Camelot are the only sons of Montjeu standing in Ireland? He has a bad memory alright. ![]() |
|
By:
The Gotchee,
I will temporarily break my rule of replying to you. I corrected Gillian with Jeniffer,3 minutes later on the thread. Pour Moi and Camelot was discussed in the context of possible sires (that are sons of Montjeu) that could excel at stud, this was why it was on the SNA thread,if you think Frozen Fire and Papal Bull are relevant here-it really is time to give up,you realised the context of the thread but wanted to make a pedantic point.9a fairly sad one). At fishers cross-I called it completely wrong which was extremely costly. This is my last comment to you(because your comments are of no interest to me),why did you feel the need to chase Stamford Bridge from here?? |

We all get races wrong DJ876 if you go back far enough you will find worse examples of mine,Dawn Approach is the favourite of my critics.
Its this civil service type language you use that grates, your stilted approach to betting also, your contribution on that golfing thread has to be read to be believed, absolute verbiage taken straight out of some betting advice book. You don't have much to say about your craven pursuit of Tony57,a genuine racing man. |
|
By:
dj876,your problem is, you cant have a proper debate without you losing the head. You come on here bluffing and spoofing and when your attention is drawn to an incorrect fact you fly off the handle, very similar to that Chelsea supporter with whom you have an unhealthy infatuation. Funnily enough, I seem to remember he left here long before you joined this forum. Your alter ego I suspect? Because he had a similar bad temper to you.
You were on the other day trying to say that Howard Johnson's horses have improved since leaving his stable and named a number of horses. When I refuted your statement and lack of knowledge you could only come back with a spelling correction. That sums you up. You are the weakest link, GOODBYE. ![]() |

I simply don't understand whats not to like about DJ. He is bright, knowledgable, opiniated and not afraid to ruffle feathers. He doesn't curry favour with anyone, just tell it as he see's it and backs it up what with facts and statistics.
I have had the odd scuffle with him that does not stop me from valuing and admiring him. Perhaps he is too young or modern? He believes in discipline and staking plans and understands markets and basic math. All of which are alien concepts to Dad's Army. Don't let the old farts push him out. |

By:
agree 100% ozy
|
|
By:
Ozy, paulie/robbo and dj876 are well matched. I have my suspicions that the 3/4 of you could be one and the same.
|
|
By:
Not surprised you like him Ozymandius as he has many of your traits.
His treatise on Pink Hats form here is insightful and naturally correct but then it was given after the race. There have been some great debates here but DJ876 is incapable of contributing, his short fuse and poor memory would kick in in double jig time another thing he has in common with Ozymandius and whilst he may not be as foul mouthed as that gentleman he isint long in descending into insults. Anyone who has read the verbiage he wrote on gambling on the golf thread will know he has tied himself in knots with rules and has neither a gra or a feel for gambling. |
|
By:
A craven pursuit?I made two contributions, both were tongue in cheek comments and neither refers to Tony57.I doubt he took any offence from either of my comments??
I read regularly but I can honestly say I have never read a book on betting advice/strategy etc(I probably should though,I don't think there is anything wrong with that). I am a firm believer in not repeating the same mistakes and have no problem in admitting I trade, arb, use betting banks, etc. I definitely don't work in the civil service but perhaps you're just referring to the use of verbiage. If I do this it's purely done out of habit and for no other reason. The Gotchee,I didn't reply to the Howard Johnson thread because I didn't think it was worthy of a reply. You have to extrapolate and give the probability of how things would have transpired if they were still with HJ. Would on his owh have won 2 Thyestes? Would Felix Yonger have been second in the Neptune and started his chasing career like he has if he was with HJ? Would Tidal bay have won a Lexus and second to Bobs worth in the English Hennessy(bearing in mind his form when he left HJ's)if he had stayed with HJ??? |

Dj876 is like Mrs Fortescues dog.
Mrs Fortescue had a poodle and was walking down the Main Street in Birr when a mongrel flounced on the unfortunate poodle and proceeded to copulate with her,the distraught Mrs Fortescue cried for help and a local worthy came over picked up a stick and rammed it up the mongrels rectum, this had the desired effect as he dismounted and ran away yelping. The Good Samaritan sidled up to Mrs Fortescue saying " its like this ma'am he can give it but he can't take it " |

Yeah, it isn't as bad a place as the press it gets suggests. The students love it down here although I'm just a bit long in the tooth for the Tuesday/Thursaday craic now.
Still busy enough of a Saturday night. The tragedy of Limerick is that during the sixties they originally planned to build the University where The Island Field is now. Town as a shopping destination is basically dead, the rates and shopping centres on the outskirts killed it. The nightlife is still lively enough though and there are lots and lots of betting shops!! |
|
By:
Doolin? Don't tell me you are putting the dodgy cigs straight into the pub machines?
|
|
By:
Limerick is a very badly planned City in ways as well Rich, probably why there are more social problems here than in other parts of the country. Big estates built with no amenities and no work built a culture that is going to be very tough to change.
|
|
By:
ye the town planning in the 60s which brought the people outa the town and into these estates such as moyross was attrocious neill d,you are correct about the shopping outa town also, most of the ladies are walking around with brown thomas bags while shopping in penneys and dunnes....FACT.....
