That's a significant loss for Coolmore. He was a good horse on his day.
|
|

It heightens the significance of Camelot's stud career considering that Pour Moi and Camelot are now the only sons of the recently deceased Montjeu standing in Ireland.

Fame and Glory, Frozen Fire, Papal Bull?

sad news.he was a good one..

OH ffs,I omitted the word Coolmore Ireland and flat since you want to be pedantic and make an irrelevant point.
I forgot the potential impact Frozen Fire might yet have on the Bloodstock world-a snip at 3k! |

Context.
I am not going to ruin this thread as any objective person can see you were making a very sad point. You're now in the same category as my Northern friend, not worth replying to,GL. |
|
By:
You are the one who was trying to ruin the thread with your inaccuracies. I was just trying to get it back on track by trying to correct the misinformation you tend to splutter out from time to time. ~A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them".
|
|
By:
Horsesh1t Gotchee, you were just having a go back at him with a needless pedantic correction because he made a fool of you on a thread the other day.
dj does not dumb himself down in order to ingratiate himself with others on here. Those with a lesser intellect should try harder not not be offended by this. |

You are letting your mask slip Ozy.

By:
the gotchee is an idiot....plain and simple.....tries to pick holes in the more informed.....because he hasn't a butchers himself.....got rid of Stamford bridge ages ago.....constantly annoying him.....I think he was saying his selections.....even though they were good ones.....were too obvious......what an arrsewipe he is.....

Know its a "Put down" thread, but no need to take it that literally, The Gotchee is getting rounded on from all sides, a bit unfair as think he is a good poster.

we agree to differ on this one pa

Just reading the thread Ozy,see you sticking your oar in at 19.38 and it having nothing to do with you.
Why don,t you go away and bake a cake or something. |

Bake a cake? (subconcious homosexual slur, what is it with men of your generation and gays, Pa?)
oh and put down that pitch fork, Old Pa, before you do yourself an injury. ![]() |

Ozy, your mask has fallen off.
Dissociative identity disorder (DID), previously known as multiple personality disorder (MPD), is an extremely rare mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct and relatively enduring identities or dissociated personality states that alternately control a person's behavior, and is accompanied by memory impairment for important information not explained by ordinary forgetfulness. |

Thad sounds fascinating, Gotchee, but I cannot admit to understanding what you are referring to, old chap.
You took a proper shoeing on this thread, and I can understand why you might lash out. |

Very sad news gents, he was one of the great ones.

The kind of horse we all watch Leopardstown maidens to see and a sad loss to racing followers.

Chelt and neill you're spot on with your comments. I make the trip to Epsom every year and it's been brilliant to watch him perform there. I still remember his debut at the Curragh back in the day.

I often wondered, do Coolmore freeze the seamen from their stallions, in the event that AI would be permitted in the future.
|
|
By:
Pity they tried to make him a Guineas horse, he was never quite the same after that really even though he subsequently attained a higher level of form later on. I tend to believe AOB on this fella and it was seen in the way he handled Camelot (having him just ready for the 2000 and the time he has given Kingsbarns.) He and Workforce would have been a potentially titanic duel. That 2000 Guineas he ran in was one of the great races of the great Classics of the last 20 years.

I haven't a clue Gotchee, they have always wanted to curb these developments. It is certainly much easier to value your am... Fixed Assets in the current system and that is where their planning has led to them thriving.
I think a change to this would lead to the worst king of stockpiling and completely take the art out of it. They would also possibly come back to the pack. Darley possibly have the stallions now. The next thing for them is a better band of less stamina laden mares. |
|
By:
I agree neil, when was the last time they had a decent sprinter?
|
|
By:
I presume we are talking Darley and the likes of Denman and Helmut were supposed to have been pretty useful down under. There was another fella as well of the same vintage as Helmut who's name escapes me. Helmut was a flop up here wasn't he, don't know much about the Oz denman but you'd presume in the Northern hemisphere he'd have been a sprinter.
You get the sense with Coolmore that the one that really got away was Mozart. What he could have done with the mares they had coming along. But then maybe the likes of Montjeu who had to fight for his spot might not have gotten the push he did. I always think sprinter milers tend to be big underachievers at stud but it is the horse that the boys are mad to get for sure. |
|
By:
They'd love a good one by Oasis Dream you'd think or one of the American stallions like War Command or Scat Daddy. They might have one with the Coventry winner.
Power had a grand racing career but I think he only made something like 50k and that he was conformationally not outstanding. An interesting one who I've noted they have maintained ownership of is Daddy long Legs. DeKock said he had more done than any other horse of his when he was beaten last week so the signs for his racing career are not good. However he is by an up and coming sire in Scat Daddy and he must be one of the best movers I have ever seen on a racecourse. he has an action like poetry. I'd be very interested to see where he stands as i think he'll nab a berth somewhere, possibly even under the big banner.... you'd certainly have a fair chance of getting a great mover and he'll be in budget range. |
