Iwas in the p.p. shop today and they had the above rule on anti/post bets for the top 4 races at the festival in march.

too late for the fly backers, but not a bad concession all the same.u will have to scuffle around to get on any decent amount on.these sh1ts are pretty quick to nip u in the bud.

Absolutely useless offer when they have shortened the majority of the runners to less than they will be on the day, they're the equivalent of three card trick merchants.A well managed company if you're an investor but as a potential punter they're a disgrace.

Champion Hurdle -108% O/R on first 6
Queen Mother 122% O/R on first 5
World Hurdle 101% O/R on first 6
Gold Cup 100% O/R on first 7

I don't need to,I know the prices inside out for all the festival races and know that they have priced up the 4 races that this offer applies to disgracefully short,a glance at the overrounds should scream RIP OFF at you.

The only 2 races that this could potentially interest me is the Mares Hurdle or the Queen Mother Chase-one the offer doesn't apply.the other they have a 50% buffer.

a good description.3 card tricksters..they have pulled a few stunts in last year that a 3 card trickster would be proud of.the money back special on the tennis that they changed the rules half way in when two fancied players(federer and nadal)got knocked out early.and recently big headline...MONEY BACK CHELSEA V LIVERPOOL if match ends in a draw!!(small print ht/ft goal scorer markets etc..)..the poor punter goes in..backs either side,if it ended in a draw sorry you bet on the wrong thing for the money back....punter rode..nice crowd..

Be fair Kavvie their tv ads state the "small print" on the bottom in regards the football, they obviously couldn,t give the concession on just the match outright at the prices they offer, agreed before it can be misleading.
On the horses front with the 4 races the overrounds do look huge and you are at this point getting very little when the ground conditions could be anything if the recent inclement weather continues.

in last few years someone has done an article in the rp about the sp prices and ante post ones..specially in the non handicaps..very little diff or in some cases sp was way better.for instance the wp novice tomoro..7/1 generally for supreme..this is crazy and itl have to win on bridle tomoro and then it wont shorten a lot?..best wait for day as you say going etc could be anything.

The best time to take advantage of the NRNB is closer to the meeting when horses are entered for races a short time span before the festival. Simple example being the Imperial Cup at Sandown. Invariably there is a fancied runner in the Imperial Cup fancied for either the County Hurdle or Coral Cup. Generally if they win on the Saturday, they line up as a short priced fav at Chelt. If they fail at Sandown, they rarely line up at Chelt. No lose situation.
Also when a horse, particularly a novice, is entered for a couple of races, it can be worth backing them for them all. They will generally start a shorter price for their chosen target than they are with the NRNB, and money back on the entries they didn't take up. A very lucky example of this for me was last year, when I backed Champagne Fever for 12s for the Supreme, and 12s for the AB. I collected on the Supreme, then when I went to get my money back on the AB bet, they paid me out in full at 12-1!! Obviously the bet was deemed to be for the Supreme. But the main point being that he started far shorter than he was a week before when still holding a few entries. He would have started about 4s for AB imo aswell.

Callit , once again a well written piece about the , imo slight of hand practice been used by this firm ...As you say why not avail of top prices now and still be ahead come Cheltenham , unless of course you happen to choose a n/r ..Amazed they are making this offer , especially  with such a long time to go to the meeting...
