Must be satisfied with his return at the meeting......a whopping one winner......and he will be very impressed with his retained rider.....he really is starting to come of age now.....the real Danny turned up in Leopardstown.......and he should consider himself very lucky that some of those training greats.....Denis Hogan......Tony Mullins......Ted Walsh and Paul Nolan really stepped up to the mark.....as they invariably do..... It all augurs well for a tremendous second half of the season......

A million to one richters......that's his real price.....may well be a contender for the arkle in 2015......if he stayed sound.....and of course a pilot change.....

I thought Mullins best ride was on Our Conor, snookering AP at a crucial stage. Lack of race fitness seemed to tell late, but all in all, they would be pleased with his run I would think.
I would expect him to turn the tables on Jezki in the Champion, though obviously still hindered from the saddle.
DM was neither use nor ornament on Inis Meain.
Will BOC ditch DM to enhance his chances of a festival winner?? I very much doubt it. Seems a very loyal sort, and is probably content to let it go. Shame really, some really talented sorts sporting his silks, none more so than The Tullow Tank and Our Conor. DMs experience of Leop, and his many flat outings there, helped in his hindering of AP, but he wont have any such bank of knowledge to aide him at Chelt, and will no doubt be neither use nor ornament again.

agree with that paulie, callit id say the boxing in of muckhoy was made worse by the flapping all elbows style of mullins......but how he kept inis meain ota the places il never know.....still even with bc on board he wouldnt of got near the fly on the day.....

I'd say the 'boxing in' incident made it worse for Barry, it just meant that he had to avoid JP at the afters. We're saying so that if Our Conor is lucky and half as tough, that he could aybe be the new Fair Along.

While highlighting the failings of Danny ,  Paulie , is deflecting flack from the worst rider on show at leopardstown over xmas , namely Russell , His judgement of pace , his positioning of his mounts , were to say the least interesting . A once top pilot now seems to be floundering in deep waters , surely its time Gigginstown cut all ties with him ...

Maybe it is a delayed reaction to that bottle he was struck with at Fairyhouse a few years ago.

The rider of Capt Cee Bee done a great job as well.If he had moved off the rail turning in and left Jetski up his inner would really have pissed off connections.Rides as well as Dan does the bould Marko.

Guys get real  . .. The steamjugs who backed Inis Meain for a hurdle race must have very short memories. A decent horse on the flat, no question, but hurdles? Wasn't he sent off jolly for the **** last year with similar consequences?
Report neill d December 31, 2013 3:33 PM GMT
The Pierse was about 10 times the race he ran in there at Christmas though and nearly one year removed, plus the fact they were trying again made it a reasonable enough punt to me. He shouldn't have been there though.
