Things went a bit pear shaped today. If I was Graham Wylie I would be fairly peed off. Willie sends Felix Yonger down to limerick to contest a Grade 2 where he gets a shocker of a ride. Meanwhile the Grade 1 in Leopardstown was won by  a horse Felix Yonger beat comfortably. It really Defies Logic. Some of Willies big owners are going to be fairly pi$$ed off before the end of the season.

Maybe I am, but these people want to win all the time and Willie got it badly wrong today.

wylie has so many horses most very good ..willie gives him success..but as ive said not all the time its impossible..townend gave felix a bad ride..agreed..but you have to give the other horse credit,,jumping the last he kept going..he jumped well the so called 2nd string..

I'd say Willie would have a good chuckle at the notion of giving Emmett a Chritmas present (absurd) but there is obvious merit in the challenge he faces of balancing owners interests. I think Graham Wylie is one of the last owners WPM would want to annoy (though he must be easy going enough to have put up with Howard Johnson).

Where it well get really interesting is the novice chases and novice hurdles at the festival. It's understandable to an extent that stablemates avoiding each other throughout the year(unnecessary hard races etc)but when in different ownership, they should be running in the most suitable races at the festival even if they clash.Ruby is in his element with connections in these situations.

Felix Yonger is certainly an Arkle type more than a Jewson horse and although I thought Champagne Fever's race was in the balance today before the mistake-he's a different preposition at the festival but it's odds on they both wont run in the Arkle.CF looks a Jeswon horse but with give in the ground as there always is in the Tuesday now, who knows?? If I was Graham Wylie -I'd be running in the Arkle regardless.
