Aphibarnrat looks an absolute cracking bet here for top ten, at 5-2. The 9-4 in Betvictor or 365 is also well worth taking if you cant get on with SJ. Yes the winners trophy is likely to go one of the 'big 4', and they will probably snaffle at least 3 of the top ten positions also. But who else is going to fill them? Not many options when you look through the field.
There are probably only about 15 players with realistic hopes of troubling the big guns, and Kiradech is certainly one of these.
The Rat has been in superb form for a long period now, consistently popping up on leaderboards in events with far more strength in depth than this. He won on the track last year, and finished 6th in this event. He is a better player, in better form now.
Like all these end of year events, only a few have any chance, and the cream will invariably rise to the top over 4 rounds. Especially when they are at the peak of their powers. If a gun was put to my head, Barnrat top ten, or not, I would certainly have him onside. Makes 5-2 look very good indeed. Get on!!

After the heart break of the last three weeks I swore to myself I wouldn't do a bet in the golf this week, well that didn't last long ha,in Thailand cant see Schwartzel out of the top 5,especially with him winning by 11 shots last year and second to westwood the year before so at 5/1 thinks it a cracking e/w bet, also couldn't help myself backing Darren Fichardt e/w at 18/1 in Europe, has been playing solid golf, and had a good tournament last week finishing 12th out of 30 players in a star studded field, nothing of that quality this week, also done a e/w double, best of luck this week lads, just a reminder lads Europe is starting early tomorrow morning, saturday finish

Just struck bets in outright market myself Huddys. Really does a 4 man shootout.

I cant have Bubba, he a total headcase, and nowhere near consistent enough to be backing at short odds. Hunter Mahan hasn't been setting the world alight, and would be a surprised if he suddenly turned it on this week. Rickie Fowler had one good round in Oz, but nothing much else lately.
Of the 4 market leaders, the easiest to leave out imo is Stenson. Although finishing 4th last week, he dipped from the form of his previous few tournaments, suffering from strange shot selection a couple of times, which can surely be put down to him running on empty.

Garcia is the one who interests me most. Played here the last two years, improving markedly on his debut last year, although still along way off runaway winner Schwartzel. Im not a fan off Serg, but he has been given a reprieve following Sundays blistering round which netted a top 4, and a nice 3 ball dividend. His game looks in fine fettle, and he will be far fresher than Stenson.

As I think it between the market leaders, I was tossing up between Rose and Charl for second bet. I don't like either of them either!! But Charls record here speaks for itself, and he really is a horses for courses type player. Rose has never been here before, and as he is an habitually slow starter anyway, it may become quite cheap to add him as a saver after round one.

In addition to the Aphibarnrat top ten, I also had a few quid on Lee Sung at 40-1 in the same market.

It may seem silly backing two men at 5-1 and 7-1 each way in a 120 strong field, but as stated in op, there are really only 20 in with any sort of chance. Worst case scenario would be if only one places, but I think both are more likely to place than Henrik or Rose, and the 5-4 and 7-4 for top 5s represents excellent value.

In the Nelson Mandela, stakes were smaller, and with less confidence!! Went with,
Darren Fichardt e.w 20s
JB Kruger e.w 40s (Main bet)
Allen Versfield e.w 90s
Michael Hoey e.w 100s.

Charl Schwartzel looks a cracking bet at 7-5(small bit available at about 2.48 on here) in the 00.20 3 ball. Slightly worried about this being his 4th event in a row as regards the outright bet, but that should have no bearing here. Obviously very comfortable on the course, and with great memories of his rout last year, he should come bouncing out of traps.
Justin Rose on the other hand, has no previous course experience, and has in the last year or so, been very slow out of the blocks. Even in his US Open, he was well off the gallop on day one. Last week, he was 4 over through 9 on Thursday. Its hard to see him keeping tabs on Charl tomorrow.
Jaidee completes the 3 ball, but he has hardly set the place alight on his previous visits, and in any case if Schwartzel sets off on the front foot, he wont live with him anyway.
Max bet for me.

Very decent start from the two of ye with Charl,Fichardt and top 10 Alfie all well up there in your main bets, left it go this week myself as won,t be able to see much of it.The Nelson Mandela looks long odds on to be 54 holes. Hope they keep going for ye.

Bad result with Rose hammering Charl in 3 ball though. Though, slightly fortunately, got a bit of it back with Barnrat outscoring Stenson and Bubba. Stenson getting wet on 17, and The Rat draining big bird was big swing.

That,s not a 100% Huddy,s, they were speaking to the tournament director,he said it wasn,t going into Sunday so can,t see them getting 3 and a half rounds in in the two days though he talked of just 50 for the cut, have to play 2 rounds Saturday but the way he spoke it looked like 1.

Poor round from Charl this morn Huddys, apparently wasn't feeling the best. Cracking round from Serg, hopefully he can keep it going. I would be disappointed if Barnrat doesn't nail the top ten now.
Very poor course for the Nelson Mandela, place in complete sh*te.

Looking good for you call fingers crossed Sergio keeps the head tomorrow, great chance aswell for the top 10,ye your right about the tournament in South Africa for the 2nd year in a row its end up becoming a pitch and putt tournament.

Serg finished it off well this morning. I think having the dolly on the bag helped him a lot mood wise. He didn't throw a strop all week. Could be the start of a beautiful relationship! If she is as good looking after his balls, as she is with the clubs.......Wink
At least Charl returned a bit on the e.w Huddys. Have to say, I very disappointed with Barnrats finish. Top 10 looked assured as he teed off on on par 5 15th. Had good wedge on that. Pup!!
Hopefully the good run continues into the new year, I wouldn't mind going to AugustaLaugh

Ye well done again,ye nice break now,ye good finish for charl alight, well if you Augusta you will see Tiger winning next year, have to say I really love the Masters,

Tis quality alright Huddys. Im getting more worried about Tiger winning another one. Was very poor on back 9 last week in an event that shouldn't really get him tetchy. Massive year for him, with all majors being at courses where he has excelled before. If he wins at Augusta, he could quite easily win at least 3 of the 4. If he doesn't win at Augusta....., well the next one just gets harder.

Yeah, that hurt alright.Backed Kuch/English & WW/Poult both e.w in the shootout. Yanks have it sewn up, just hoping others can claim the place money too.

Will try keep the powder dry now for the festive racing. Though if Hendo runs Blue Fashion next weekend in the Ladbroke Hurdle, I would be very interested. Hendo has plenty entered in it though. He would be a certainty off his current mark in any 2m4f handicap imo. This only 2m, but he travelled so well the last day, I wouldn't see it as a problem. Looked hugely promising, and was only beaten by a very talented, and exceptionally well handicapped rival. And with improvement sure to come, he could dot up.

Worse bets to be had Huddys, prob be 5s at the off for Masters. If wins that, and is in his current dominant form on Tour, he be about 5-2 for US Open. If wins that, he be no bigger than 3s for British Open, and if wins that be back to the good old days of 5-4 for the USPGA!! Lots of ifs in there though!! And, ok its about 185-1 at them odds, but **** it!!

Havent even looked at the shootout well done with Kuch and England,ye the Tiger bets a fun bet and you never know if he wins the Master the confidents will be sky high,
