2013/14 Irish NH Ten To Follow - Official Thread

After the success of last year's competition, the 2013/14 Irish National Hunt Ten To Follow is now officially launched. Below are the rules and again, Betfair have put up prize money for this year's competition too.

Rules

1. Up to two stables per person but each entrant is only eligible to win one dose of the prize fund.
2. Each stable to consist of 10 Irish-trained horses.
3. Competition to start... Saturday 16th November 2013
4. Closing date for entries... 12pm Saturday 16th November 2013
5. Competition to end ..... the last day of 2014 Punchestown festival (Saturday April 26th).
6. Entry is free.
Please email me on biffo69@hotmail.com if you don't want anybody to see your lists before the start of the competition. Otherwise, post your lists on this thread. Remember, each entrant is allowed post two lists but only one of those lists can collect prize money.
7. i. A person can change their selection as many times as they want up to the start date of the competition. Last selection before this date, or first after, will then be taken as final.
ii. Entrant's stables will be posted on this Betfair thread after 12pm on Saturday 16th November.

8. Transfer periods are as follows:
i. Christmas transfer period 20th - 26th December 2013, closing at 12pm on the 26th December. Two transfers.
ii. Cheltenham transfer period 8th - 11th March 2014, closing at 12pm on the 11th March. Two transfers.
iii. Final transfer period, Punchestown 19th April - 22nd April 2014, closing at 12pm on the 22nd April. Two transfers.

9. Points scoring:

i. The points awarded were as follows:
25pts for winning a Grade 1 race, 12pts for 2nd, 6pts for 3rd.

20pts for winning a Grade 2 race, 10pts for 2nd, 5pts for 3rd.

15pts for winning a Grade 3/Listed race, 8pts for 2nd, 4pts for 3rd.

12pts for winning a Hcap race, 6pts for 2nd, 3pts for 3rd.

10pts for winning any other races(Maiden & novice hurdles; Beginner's and Novice chases, bumpers etc), 5pts for 2nd, 2pts for 3rd.

ii. Additional 25pts are awarded to the winner, 12pts to the runner up, and 6pts for the 3rd in the following races:

iii. Points awarded for Irish and UK racing only!

10. Only Irish-trained horses will score points. If a horse changes to a stable outside of Ireland, then unfortunately that horse can score no more points and he/she can't be changed until the next transfer period.
11. Referee's decision is final.
12. An updated leaderboard will be put up on this thread each Monday/Tuesday.
13. Total anonymity guaranteed. Anyone breaking this rule will be disqualified.
14. Prize Money, courtesy of Betfair - 1st €50, 2nd €30, 3rd €20. Only one list per person can collect prize money. As I will be administrating the comp, I will be ineligible to collect any prize money.
