Best thing RTE have ever had anything to do with and by a long way really...in fact, it doesn't sit well with their other output. the fella Vaughan-Lawlor who plays Nidge is a fine actor, does the lot, understated to manic.

I never watch it. I hate violence, those using it for entertainment, and people who use it as a replacement for democracy.

Never seen it btw, no doubt I'll get round to it one day. Loved Sopranos and The Wire. If it's even in the same ballpark as them I'd be genuinely impressed/shocked

Having had dealings with these type of scumbags in the past I simply refuse to watch the show, to me the show seems to be glorifying this pond life.
Go to the pub and somebody asks me did you see "Love Hate" last night, err no, and they look at me as if I have horns growing out of my head, "what you don't watch Love hate?". |

Agree with you Silvergreaser

I can imagine all the towns and cities in Ireland been virtually crime free for the hour the pond lifes fav show Love Hate is on, as they sit riveted to the tv watching their fav characters, and after the show is over there is an explosion of crime and violence in the towns and cities as the various pond life hit the streets to emulate their heroes.

'having had dealing with these types'
I always thought you were of that ilk alright Silver. |
|
By:

Great Programme. Top notch acting in last night's episode.
|
|
By:
The show glorifies nothing, quite the opposite actually , it shows the relatively short shelf life of those who choose that career path.

Bible tells the metaphorical tale about the corrupt nature of humans.
Once upon a time there were 4 people alive on Earth. One of them promptly committed a murder. Didn't take long for social reality to become manifest. Likewise Abraham was prepared to kill his son for 'religious' reasons. We see the same thing today in honour killings etc.( let alone Chinese infanticide practices).Nothing changes except the surface details. Right from the start we've been plagued with murderous skumb. |

By:
If the bible was to be belived by the people Vulbiant then Kane was responsible for killing a quarter of the worlds Population as you say m8, maybe EVE should have left that granny smith alone.
|
|
By:
of course it glorifies them scumbags, why are you all watching?
|
|
By:
never seen it but it's a tv show ffs
Silvergreaser, the other day i agreed with you when you said about smoking in hollywood movies was hardly gonna mean people watching them run out and start smoking, however now you're trying to make out watching a tv programme with criminals in it will make people run out and commit crimes ![]() think you'd really want to make your mind up |
