With the exception of the two above it would be fair to say "The Flat Season" was exactly as it says on the tin, FLAT. Classic generation in particular pretty poor. Good riddance and roll on NH.
Tend to agree Oufie, other than Arc day nothing stands out really over the season(maybe Sky Lanterns style).Possibly be worse next year with the 2yo looking much of a muchness. Suppose yesterdays Champion day was spoiled a bit by the going. Saying that looking forward to a few of the Naas races today. As an aside,I make it 6 from 9 for Pat Shanahan x channel, might be a case of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted but he seems to really be trying to get a win out of fairly average horses and can see him targetting the AW over the winter.

could name over 30 group 1/2/3 performers this season that had excellent wins this year, lots of multiple group winners that won more than once aswell, are you talking about horses that produced the form on the day when they were supposed to win and so collected the winnings. lots of horses that had good seasons comparable to those top two.

Pa , I'm heading to Naas , not a great card for punters , a couple of odds on chances , an open looking bumper , a open listed race , plus that old time fav race of mine the Birdcatcher ...Overall a poor enough card imo.....

How are ya Workrider, said that about Naas because like to see Johann Strauss again and the October Handicap, also spent ages studying that birdcatcher, ended up none the wiser, just want to see what way that will pan out. If you are able stick up a paddock view on Our Conor please, best of luck, tis hard punting there agreed.

Will do my best Pa , according to yesterdays field he should come on for the run , it was great seeing Dessie looking so well at Punchestown on thurs , a few more winners will no doubt help with his recovery , also noted at Punchestown was that great old stalwart of yesteryear Mick O'Toole , looking as bright as a new penny ...I'm just wondering if they'll take on Johann and Milan today ..Might have a little e/w on Intensical in the birdcatcher , Jim likes this race...good luck today if you're having a punt...
