Ok Borneo, listen up, we need you taking part in this gamble today, so that we don't have to deal with your miserableness later on in the day.

Finish up your tae, get on your high nelly (honda 50 if it is wet) into town and head for the Post Office. Withdraw a wad of dirty notes and stand by in the bookies.  Stay off the drink until 2.

Good to finally have you on board a KL inspired gamble.

It is brilliant advice and is given by a man who understands gambling but surely you can see the difference between Keen Leader,DJ876 and Pa Lapsy.
I have enjoyed all his threads ( Bournemouth was just too cruel) and freely acknowledge their worth,I remember being roundly abused by Robo for ober praising the incredible Laois thread.

Not sure what you are prattling on about tbf. Are you taking part today?  Either way no hysterics tonight please if the gang collects.

I want ye all to collect but for that you need to take part, the hysterics you refer to are you getting caught lying, first about the Trifecta and then about backing a horse at evens when you had no bet..

There is another reason I should be dealt out,in the unlikely event of the bet going west shouts of crow would come my direction, also I have kind of missed the boat

Just don't get upset if some of us collect today.  Try and be magnanimous.

i will post a little early.

its a gaa game...laois intermediate final, ballyroan v clonaslee.

this is a complete mismatch, ballyroan will win in a cruise control, clonaslee are serial foulers and only made the final because their semi final opponents spink had no free taker capable of converting. ballyroan have ex country player mj tierney back from dublin this season, and he is a top class free taker and will punish clonaslee.

i priced this game, ballyroan 1/16 clonaslee 10/1....on a 8 point handicap.

ppowers, priced it yesterday
4/11 ballyroan, 5/2 clonaslee,,,,,,,and ballyroan -3 at 6/5.

naturally along with a few others i have been active in the past 24 hours and the market has now moved to
3/10 ballyroan, and -3 at 5/6.

that outright price is finding money on the street and the handicap is at least 3 or 4 points wrong, -3 ought to be a 3/10 shot.

Now you might get it.

And now for the umpteenth time I hope ye all win although I think an old racing friend Ray Flynn is from Clonaslee.

Cheers KL, had a right lump on it.

Best of luck to all.  Game is on Sunday at 2.

I can see wildman's reluctance to get involved without detracting from the brilliance of the leader.

I would have no interest whatsoever in two aspects of this: betting in a medium other than horseracing (not to mention some obscure gaa match) and I genuinely prefer to win and lose at this game on my own homework. I have never backed a "tip" in my life or gave up many moons ago.

good luck with the project.

The wincanton thread yesterday very interesting in that it was a play to be third and worked exceptionally well and the horse beaten far enough to not damage its future mark too much. excellent food for thought and its great to see an expert's path into a bet.

Now 1/4 for the win with PP. Too short for me.

Handicap is back up at -4 @ Evens, will have a small punt on that. Gl all.

Interesting to see what they will take on it.

Even accounts with PP that are not restricted can be restricted on a sport by sport basis and if you have any history of winning with them on GAA and in particular local GAA, they will pull the rug from under you very very quickly.

In a shop it will be difficult to get on this as well, but maybe in a double with a horse that you know is a non runner might help in that regard. That used to be my lazy way of getting on horses that they were top price about in their on course shop at Leopardstown rather than head down to the bookmakers, as obviously you could not bet singles at the course and taking top price on line is going to kill you very soon.

Good with this bet.

Is there scope for now reversing the bet?  For a winning margin of 4, 5 or 6 points you win both bets, any other differential you break even?

If the Laois county board ever want to raise a few bob, MJ Tierney v Colm Parkinson in some kind of white-collar boxing event would be one I'd pay into........hoping for a simultaneous double-knockout.

Going well lads
