the bumper looks half decent for the time of year ..if the potts horse gets a run it,ll be interesting to see the betting with meade,s and bowes..I wont make my choice till tomorrow but im favouring meades?..be interested in what any of you think?

how can you possibly fancy any horse in that race.........bar 2 of them.......nobody has seen them in public.....

oh right I get what you mean..but I like bumpers and maidens..etc..the meade horse is related to group 1 winner?..its breeding tells me it may be good enough to run wellfto?..but bowes has won a ptp which also bodes well..of course its not a exact science..and I may not have a bet once I see the betting..but as i've said..breeding can help you..i backed a fto winner in abumper with no form @Chepstow on Tuesday @6/1..

fair enough tony.......but as far as im concerned.........the betting is more important than breeding.......in a race like this.......or in any race for that matter.......

fair enough paulie,..I respect that..the betting is the main thing I agree..but its not everything ..they drift and win..ive had them backed of the boards and run shockers...but yes you point is a fair one..

Agree, Betting Betting Betting, especially in Bumpers. I don't find the breeding aspect nearly as important in NH either. NH stallions are of the lower end and by their nature inconsistent, even more so than their flat counterparts. Stallions like Milan, some love, some reckon he produces overpriced rubbish. Very hard to know when NH progeny are going to come to hand either.... which brings us back to the betting.

Bowe's horse has no chance in bumper.  Was 4/1 in a 6 runner fast ground Point to Point so wouldnt imagine he is that well thought of and coming from this stable there will be no improvement in it from the first day.  Will be 7/1+ price.

tom costello never looked at the breeding of a horse when buying.always looks and temperament..

ive took 5/2 for meades,..i understand where youre coming from neill with the betting..but I have to disagree over the breeding..the flat as you may have more to go on? but imo breeding is just as important for the jumps..just my opinion and I put it in when im punting.

Tony 57,would being by an American sire who raced over a mile be a concern on soft ground or is there plenty of stamina on the dam side?
I see there on Timeform that he is a half brother to Jazz Messenger.

Seems to be plenty of confidence behind seasoned chaser Rare Bob reverting back to hurdles, the horse never won a hurdle race but would look reasonably handicapped on his previous best novice hurdle form, a long time ago I know!. Certainly won't mind the conditions.

tony if chicago reproduces his first run over hurdles i think hel be to good for the newcomers over hurdles,a possible danger could be the hogan horse benalex park, chicago could be a useful recruit to the hurdling scene this year imo....

Chicago has two chances of winning the Triumph hurdle apart altogether from the fact that he is a year too old!

Interesting run from Rare Bob there, jockey didn't look one bit interested in getting involved at the business end. Looked like the horse had plenty more to offer?.

Bit early for a prep run for the national!.
