Has to be December christmas and new year most people are off work, plenty of great racing packed pubs and if you back a few winners all the better.

Betting shop and pub staff probably dread it?.

January -  all the supposed amateurs and "party-animalsCry" have disappeared. Pubs have returned to normality, and only those with a few bob left like myself or hardened drinkers in the company.

Ahh, a nice frosty day mid-january....skiving off about 3-4pm into the local....fire on, and Christmas hassle over. BlissHappy.
