Not as Bad as taking an Aintree bumper winner from him and giving him to Jessie H.

Sorry to go off topic twice on your thread Limerick especially when it's refreshing to see a National Hunt Thread on here.
It should be interesting to see how the unexposed Willie Mullins trained runners fare out at Ballinrobe tomorrow. Are his runners running a bit below par (1/30.....4/50 ...13/100-stats for recent winners/runners)or is it more likely that it's just a case of the time of the year and the much lesser lights running. It's more than likely the latter and this is discussed most years at this time,I won't be backing/laying any of his tomorrow but will be interested to see how they get on. |

I'm sure Ruby will be along soon with his annual Gigginstown thread...

limerick,
mullins has a 3yr old belonging to giggy..who is unnamed as yet, out of ROBIN DES CHAMPS, out of a mare by AMBER LIGHT,they bought for 215.000 @goffs,i haven't a clue if it is in willies yard as yet..but I doubt you,ll see it this side of xmas... |

The juvenile hurdle looks an interesting race with willies and a new giggy runner in it trained by Elliot.few moderate horses off the flat that might improve for hurdles.willies is likely to be well fancied here as his mare in the third. stayed on strong to win mares bumper in Sligo.

Starting to look a strong race Very Wood won, not many have run but the 9th 11th and 14th that day have won recently, not sure of the reason for the move but G E seemed to have been doing the right thing with him.
Think last year as well around this time there were questions with Willies, first thought with his ones tomorrow was place lay them. |

All the 4 year old pointers were to be divided out to gigginstown trainers. Pat Doyle would normally have had these horses.

Strange, I thought they were maybe pushing a few of the more backward novices a little hard last year. That good one Elliot had that was battered by the Mullins horse in December, kept saying they were going to back off it (chaser in making), but then threw into every decent novice hurdle run in Ireland. It was like they were trying to prove a point. Some turn around from refusing to send it to Cheltenham as a Bumper horse. It was Don Cossack!!
Big year for them, little disappointing last season. Circumstances conspired against Sir Des Champs with Davy getting broken up and the ground going wrong for him at Cheltenham. He never got into any kind of a rhythm but still traded long odds on in the Gold Cup. Don't think the Henderson horse will be able to recover from his flat spot if SDC gets his ground and actually jumps. Best they have by a mile. |

Don't ignore Hologram who they picked up from Elsworth for 40k,Good winner of it's only start and while i expect it to struggle on soft ground he could be a decent horse when given a sound surface(Elliot says he hasn't done much with it at home so probably a bleeder hence the soft round warning)

Great to see them sending their good horses to trainers other than Mullins, spread the wealth around a bit and make the scene more competitive.
|

By:
Promising first effort by the Elliott horse in France. Not the greatest of races but he shaped better than the bare result and looked a big horse with plenty of scope. Not sure Ballinrobe would be ideal for him but then the Mullins horse looked a bit one paced in France also and he may not love this track either.

is pat Doyle no longer getting giggy youngsters to get ready?
heard today that marlbrook (impressive p2p winner n subsequent maiden hurdle winner bought by jp) has been sent to colm murphy from enda bolgers.highly thought of horse |
|
By:
Amazed Henry De Bromhead doesn't get giggy or jp horses tbh
|
|
By:
He has a few for JP. I'd say gigginstown see his main patron as a serious rival.
|
|
By:
Bromhead will surely have his pick soon, first time, class horses, Listowel its what ever way you want it, clearly very good.
|
|
By:
De bromhead has both giggy and jp horses.......

You're right of course Paulie, I was pissed, stating the obvious and managing to even get that wrong.

Sorry i meant more,As clearly he hasn't many for either.
