The price of Donatis Comet in the last would leave you believing there's a bit of juice around there.Silly

HRI Racing ‏@HRI_Racing

The ground at Listowel (2day-Sat) is now soft (NH) and heavy (Flat) following 6mm rain this morning. Currently raining.

Destined  to be runner up at best again.Like the look of the fav here myself. Winner of two bumpers he finished fourth in only maiden hurdle run behind Que Pasa (who has not done the form any harm since). ..Jumping only ok there(mistake at the first)you can be sure he is well schooled in the three months since with Listowel in mind. By Heron Island softish ground should be ok (but dam by Strong Gale would may indicate a  preference for better).Bumper wins were on a faster surface, the second of which he gave away a fair bit of weight  to some younger rivals one of which was Knightstone a bumper winner on previous run and a runner up last week to a promising WP Mullins French import in a Galway maiden hurdle last week.. Best of luck to all with any bets today.

Mutiska being hammered in betting for this race now.A mare I was sure needed a fastish surface but money says otherwise.9/2 in places from a high of 8/1. All in a matter of twenty minutes.

Mustika has some good form on easy ground including a 1 mile 6F win on the level at Ballinrobe in May this year so I'd be thinking they expect it to act on it today.

Its quite possible at 13, that Fit The Cove has had enough of the racing game, but its surely just as possible that he just hasn't had his ground yet this year. He will today. The last time he encountered a heavy surface was in this race last year, when he sh*t in by 6 lenghts off todays mark. He hasn't set the world alight this season, but he has shown enough on ground quicker than ideal to suggest he still has a win in him off this mark, on this ground. On his third last run, on yielding at Galway, he ran perfectly respectably, having been drawn out in the car park. Box one today, heavy ground, 20-1, yes please.

Just had a look further back at her form Punches ,you are spot on ,I had just been concentrating on recent runs which were all on sound surface .May excuse why she failed to take what looked a very weak maiden hurdle at Wexford in July. Donatis  now nr.

Given a lot to do in that Wexford race as well and on much faster ground, interesting that it was beaten a nose in a 14F flat race here 2 years ago on soft to heavy so every chance it will act on it today.

Btw,I think The Fox Tully might be an outsider worth having a small nibble on in the same race.
