strongly fancy him to beat Djocko who isn't playing well.  Ok, Djocko isn't the best match up for Nadal but on present form I can only see one winner.

Nadal 1.7

Fearless selection, you wait for him to win his semi final in straight sets and then make your move.

Has Rocketfingers been giving you lessons?

It's about trying to turning a profit for me.  I hadn't really seen either play all tournament until the semi's.  In any case, he was only around evens for the past week.

Djocko has the better hard court record but is not at his 2012 level.  Nadal seems to be playing better than ever on this surface.

That said my record on calling showdowns between these two is not stellar.

Great spot by Ozy, Wildman thinks tennis is tennis would never have thought players are better on one court than another. Ozy you are giving him an education on here, not before time he got one either.

Never had a bet on tennis before , i don't think , but on reading your piece Del . I decided to test the water and had £50 on Djokovic @ 2.42 ..What time does this take place ...?

Good man, wonky.  You may well have value there, and will almost certainly be ale to trade out, not that you'd bother for 50 quid.

It's at 10 tomorrow night.  It could go late so a man of your age would be well advised get a nap in in the afternoon.

so you think it's almost certain Rafa will trade bigger? why not wait then and back him when he drifts? surely that would be the play

We are of similar age so , thanks for that piece of advice Del , do you nap often during the day , could you recommend one of your favorite drinks at night time , don't say Horlicks , cant stand the stuff , someone else said to me watching something called big brother , kills more brain cells than drinking alcohol . I immediately thought of your good self , and your obvious talent for missing work due to watching it . Oh I must be getting old ,I'm getting forgetful , sure the reason you're not working atm is simply because Europe has closed down for the month of August , what month is it again Del....Laugh

Fair point PF, I will most likely add to my position should Nadal drift based upon my view of things at that time.

Anyone backing Djocko btw, would be better backing him 3-1 or 3-2 in Sets for a far superior return than 2.42.  I would be flabergasted if Djocko were to win 3-0.  Plus with Set betting you get a refund in the event of injury, you don't in Outright market.

Had a few quid on Azarenka at 4.6, and laid Williams at 1.78 to win in straight sets. If both produce their best, there is not as much in it as the betting may have you believe. Which suggests Williams is therefore more likely to produce her best, But considering she has been below par in their last 3 encounters, it may be Azarenka who brings more like her A game to the table. Nothing crazy, laid Williams to win €200 in set betting, and 150 on Azarenka at 4.6. No golf this week, and the missus prefers me watching women with their clothes on, rather than the more erotic type, so the tennis it is!! I understand I am using the term 'women' very loosely when including WilliamsGrin

When John Lennon was asked was Ringo Starr the best drummer in the world he famously replied " he's not even the best drummer in the Beatlrs "

Ozymandius turned a profit so well done but the most prescient post on this thread was from Callitasucit,he got the Ladies Final fairly right whereas most of what Ozymandius said was wrong including one howler.

Seething alert ^

It must kill you to say well done, Ozy does it tournament after tournament to say his record is anything less than impressive is a lie. He spotted the value and put his rep on the line something you have never done although you don't have a rep Wildman !!!!

Delboy and Rodney tried that when chatting up two girls,Delboy pretended to be a tennis coach with Rodney being a professional player, when the girls asked him did he prefer AstroTurf to grass he said he smoked neither.
They finally had to admit they were lying so then claimed they were Concorde pilots.

Who was it who originally christened Ozymandius Delboy and Rocketfingers Rodney?

Backed Rafa last night. Have to say when Djoc got back to 1-1, I considered jumping ship, considering him to be the most likely winner but still 2.32. I a big Djoc fan, but would slightly prefer Rafa, so let it ride. At the start of the 4th he was bouncing around like the thing had only started, unbelievable stamina.  We are blessed to be around in an era of three true greats of the game. Vintage viewing. I don't see tonights game against Austria being such edge of the seat stuff, how times have changed.

WD all winners by the way. Shame for the female race that Azarenka couldn't win the other night. That other yoke is a hideous beast. During the match a friend asked me..."Gun to the head, Williams or Navratilova?" Gun, was my reply. I would reckon many might choose the sameGrin

Too much woman for you, callit?

http://mrpopat.in/wdownload.php?id=65168

I'm very partial to black women.  In my experience they have far greater sexual appetite than white women. I have never known a black woman that didn't consistently reach orgasm quickly and easily. My findings are based on a significant sample size.

Wonky, thank you for your continued interest in my sexual affairs.

My relatively fallow period finished at age 20 when I left our frigid shores.  I swapped shy, nervous, freckled, milky thighed guilt-ridden virgins from Ballyhaunis and such places for sophisticated, sexually aware, confident olive-skinned women for whom sex was as natural as breathing.  I haven't looked back since
