clare are a very good bet to beat limerick at 6/4 here in what is essentially a toss up.

Bit late now maybe as all the books have shortened their prices but the Galway Camogie team at any price above evens is a cracking bet. They have already beaten Wexford in the championship this year in Wexford park and Wexford will be without Mary Leacy for the match. Already without Una Leacy thats arguably the two best camogie players in the Country that will be missing. They struggled to beat Clare and Offaly while Galway hammered Tipperary last time out. If they both play as they have done so far this year its Galway by three or four at least.

Sometimes you know a little bit more than the major books and today was one of those days. A serious amount of money went on Galway all week.
Could be wrong but I'd assume that all bookies (with the exception of yourself, irishbookmaker) were guided by the PP price on this.
As far as I can make out all other books are guided by Powers. They price up first and all the other sheep follow. Usually by shortening the favs a little bit. After the first two days they are all the same anyway.

Tough to call I thought Clare enjoyed huge amounts of good possession against Cork but squandered it, Cork were much more economical and took the scores when the opportunity presented itself, Clare against Galway were much more potent.
Limerick beat Tipp, but that Tipp team are pretty poor by their standards, the sending off of the Cork guy turned the munster final their way, Limerick will fight to the death but I just have a feeling if Clare turn possession into scores they will edge it.

if you are doing accums(not a good idea) or would like a chunky wager with a very high chance of return, then tonight at 5.30 I think clough ballacolla will win their game v ballinakill in the laois hurling championship. I make them 1/20 shots, byles are 1/4 bet365 2/7, powers have cut them from 1/4 to 1/6.....that 1/4 is an easy 25% return on your money.

i will be punting limerick at 11-4 for the all ire and hope to trade the stake back and freeroll in the final.i am convinced limerick will have too much for clare.the form is just not there for clare,they were outclassed by cork and they beat a busted flush in galway.

No complaints whatsoever, Clare were a class apart and could have won by more. they have some brilliant young hurlers and will a be a force for years to come. I think it was a mistake to bring of Hannon for someone like Moran, I hope it doesn't hurt his confidence as he will be an important player for Limerick in the future.
Hannon and Tobin were hopeless, they should have been subbed earlier along with Breen.
Allen should have brought Dowling on when Seamus Hickey went off, plus maybe tried Downes at full forward rather than Niall Moran. Clare were way better on the day.

I do think that if Hannon had scored the first free, from out on the right, it would have had a settling effect on Limerick, rather than somewhat unnerving them and allowing Clare a vital early edge. Some poster on here earlier in Summer had the Limerick manager in the hot seat for not starting his best 15. Perhaps he made the same mistake today and Davy outfoxed him. Cork would not want to be giving this Clare team a big early lead, as they are dangerous. Probably an even enough final.
No limerick team should without Dowling in the forseeable future if at all possible. I'd nearly say the same about Downes, but I understand he was struggling today. Breen has always flattered to deceive, similar Niall Moran when it really comes to it. Mulcahy, Downes,Hannon, Dowling are 4 very good forwards to build around. Could see Hannon possibly playing in the half-back line at some stage though.

john allen is a cool guy,he knows the score and i would not blame him for that defeat today.imo the occassion got to them limerick boys,the nervousness was obvious and before they knew it ,they got punished for it with no way back.hurling is all about the 1st touch and if that goes?as doonie brasco would say "forget about it".
