Main bet so far is defo Bony TGS at 80/1 and 66/1 ew - only fear is if Swansea av a deep run in the Europa league he could b rested but hopefully nt!

But i really rate him and is an out and out goalscorer

The way Swansea play they will score plenty and Michu who played deeper last year came 5th with 18 goals even tho Swanseas form really tailed off after the cup win. Bony is nailed on to start i think given the price tag and Swansea are nt a team filled with out and out forwards. He made an impressive appearence in their Europa league 1st leg with 2 goals and i think there is a big upside to the place part 1/4 1,2,3,4  given the doubts about Suarez's future still and looks like Bale is defo off

Report ChildOfMine2 August 17, 2013 12:26 AM BST
Greatest cert of the season is Spurs to finish ahead of Liverpool at 5/6, even without Bale. Stoke at 3/1 to get relegated looks value, they just about escaped last season and have bought sweet fa in the summer. Lukaku is 7/2 to be top Chelsea goalscorer & Anelka (5/4) & Ricky Lambert (4/6) to be top club goalscorers looks likely too. Dzeko at 6/1 to be top City goalscorer could also be a bet with the vibes that he could be the first choice striker this season.
Hazard at 14/1 for Player of the Year looks a bet, big things await him this season I reckon.
Report keen leader August 17, 2013 12:33 AM BST
my premiership bet is rather tame, though it ought to deliver. I see the title race as a 2 horse race between man und and Chelsea, dutching them works out at around 8-13, if pushed it would go for man und to retain if van persie has a clean bill of health for the season.

I would be going against the grain in saying that it might be worth backing man und in their first 5 games as they may be at value odds in these individual games now as compared to comparable fixtures later in the campaign.

if you want a fun spectulative bet, move to div 3 and a little e/w on Scunthorpe at 16/1 and Northampton at 25/1 could give you an interest each weekend when looking at the results and if you are lucky a profit.
Report neill d August 17, 2013 3:16 AM BST
Jay Rodriguez is set for a sterling year and may get the nod in favour of Lambert due to his pace if the coach opts for 1 up front. Just a word of caution, Rodriquez has as much in his bag as any young striker around much as I like Lambert as a player.

Report kavvie August 17, 2013 10:05 AM BST
what about man city kl?you ruling them out of it?
Report Rocketfingers August 17, 2013 10:46 AM BST
I have to say crazy talk anybody ruling out Man City, best team in the league last year but with a terrible manager. No Fergie and an overrated Jose coming into Chelsea gladly take City over them.

My Other two bets (Well having more than 2 bets) is Swansea and Southampton in pretty much every market you can hit, handicaps, W/O big 6 9 or 10's, both to finish in the Top 10 etc etc.

Also Liverpool to finish in the top 4 if you could be sure LS stays and plays but you can't be. 11/8 Palace and Hull both to go down is another one i like.
Report kavvie August 17, 2013 10:49 AM BST
looking at todays bets.surely wigan at 13/10 to bt bournmouth is a stand out.last week wigan were playing man u.bourne were losing 6/1 to watford..
Report neill d August 17, 2013 10:49 AM BST
Agree on pretty much all of that bar Liverpool Rocket, I like some of their players, but a few are miles away from the standard required.
Report Rocketfingers August 17, 2013 10:55 AM BST
Ya Liverpool is a tough one Neil, i'm certainly no Liverpool fan but i don't think they're as far off as people think. Arsenal and Spurs w/o Bale and hopefully Everton can only be their opponents and i don't think it's beyond the bounds of possibility they finish above them. They were unlucky at times last season but at the same time they can flatter to deceive. The big betting syndicates who watch every match have them rated very high and i think you have to respect them and their opinion even if we don't agree with it.
Report Ozymandius August 17, 2013 11:01 AM BST
Liverpool have David Brent in charge, would tend to leave well alone.
Report neill d August 17, 2013 11:02 AM BST
They probably aren't either no, Dalglish murdered them with the money he wasted. They'd have the nucleus of a good team now only for that. Gerard, Suarez, Lucas, Coutinho, Johnson Agger and Enrigue are all very good I think, but the standard drops pretty rapidly after that. Rumour they are in for William from Anzhi(can't see why he'd go there) but if they got him, he could be a game changer.
Report wildmanfromborneo August 17, 2013 11:07 AM BST
Rocketfingers post of 10.55 has to be the most inane ever posted,it meanders around contradicting itself but saying nothing.

Report workrider August 17, 2013 11:08 AM BST
He is a smashing player indeed Neill d ..If they were lucky enough to get him , he would make a massive difference , a brilliant attacking player with flair ..I'd be a little worried by their defense , not gone on Agger myself and the new keeper will be vulnerable ...So hopefully they get a good start for they need it to build their confidence...
Report Rocketfingers August 17, 2013 11:09 AM BST

great shout

about a month ago he was 11/10 to get 7 or more league goals this season, rodriguez has impressed me a lot this season just had to bet, only 2 more from pay day now after last night and he's 2/7 to do it, which isn't the worst price you'll ever see either tbh

Just saw this again now wonders, thanks and good luck with the bet, It must 1.1 by now!!

He is a lad that has really sharpened up is game hugely on the technical side and is unrecognisable from the player he was at Burnley.

As far as England goes, I think his workrate and willingness to get in behind defenders makes him a better partner for Rooney than Sturridge who can look bone idle at times for all his talent.

Agree, Aguero, Hart, Toure, Silva & Kompany only all played together 5 times, they won 2 of them 6-0. They would have absolutely pissed it had they stayed together for longer. They are a serious team capable of giving the best in Europe a belly full when they are right. Much better than the margin of victory suggests here. wouldn't mind seeing them sign someone top-class with real out-and-out pace out wide, though. Angel Di maria or someone of that ilk, not sure Navas has the all-round game.

City were mismanaged in the final year under Mancini, Chelsea weren't right either that year.... no team has ever been flattered so much by an as the last Manchester United league winning team.
