Not much value if they lose but think Bubbly Bellini 7.55 (33/1 gen) could run well. Looking at his last 3 runs on the same mark i was not enamoured by his Galway run(7f heavy) still managed a 4l off Northern Rock which he is 5lb better with him tonight, had a chance there but unusual for him didn,t quicken.Run before that(5f) was making fair headway inside final furlong had nowhere to go and ending up clipping heels with the one in front of him and coming down.Thought he would have been placed that day, certainly would have been very near Russian Soul and Timeless Call who fought out a listed race since. Race before that another 60k race was 3 and a 1/2L behind the winner Burn the boats, finished best of the low drawn that day and a considerable bias was had by the high drawn. Hopeful small ew on him for me this Padlock, tough race, have a good evening there.

17.05 Tramore- This looks a match between course winners Storm Away and Dysart Dancer. It's not often I'd have a Pat Flynn trained runner ahead of A WPM runner in a duel but in this instance I think Storm away(2.3) should be odds on.
I know they think a lot of this mare who is a half sister to their Galway hurdle winner Bahrain storm.I thought Danny Grant gave her a stones of a ride at Balinrobe lto, taking on the well backed Katie T a full 5 furlongs out, although Katie T dropped out this mare was still only beaten half a length.
Dysart Dancer is a formidable opponent having won all her three starts for Willie(including her maiden hurdle here on heavy ground). She was outpaced over 20f at Kilbeggan last time out and only got up very late.
I expect Katie to make the running but Tramore is like a greyhound track, always turning and places an emphasis on tactical speed which should play to the strengths of the locally trained and owned mare.
From a non punting perspective, the opening maiden at Leopardstown should be interesting with John's Oxx's daughter of sea the stars making her debut. I am not surprised we haven't seen too many of sea the star's progeny yet(2/10),they were always going to be slow maturing types. He didn't make his debut himself until mid July suffering his only defeat.I am looking forward to seeing Too the Stars a daughter of Finsceal Beo who is with John Gosden.

Lashing here as well so I presume its moving in that direction but would appreciate a weather update.
If the rain comes I would fancy Gordon Lord Byron to beat Darwin,he has an eight pound pull but a going change would be far more significant.
The first looks a right race and one to look on and learn an My Titania get Oxx up to the bakers dozen hardly.

With an 8lb pull and with showers forecast GLB on strict reading of form lines should almost be fav?, I wouldn't be overly worried about the mile as GLB ran well over it in Hong Kong.

Quite a difference between Leopardstown and Hong Kong.
Darwin a max bet at 1.85, could have beaten GLB by any amount last time and the trip will only further play into his hands. Anyone who thinks the 8lbs swing will win it today for GLB should prob give up the game as it is clearly not for them

lashing rain in Dublin since about 11:00 and down for the day so factor that in. They may well have watered as we had a long dry spell so I would fear the worst for the ground

If the ground was good Darwin would be a moral but with the ground softer-god knows if he will act on it.(if he runs) Snap How do big Brown's progeny perform on soft ground.

With the rain coming down as it is, surely Northern Rocked has to go close to picking up another big pot. Up 5lbs for winning lto and well drawn again. Still well below its career high mark of 100+.

I thought he won doing hand stands at the Curragh as well. I wouldn't be having a max bet at odds on an American bred on potentially soft ground though.

Won by one and three quarter been pushed out to the line, obviously we have a different interpretation of race reading, a comfortable victory but didn't look to me as if he had a tonne in hand.

I live beside the track and there's been a very light drizzle since around 2pm. It wont change the ground much, if at all. it most definitely has not been lashing down!

Clearly dj agrees with my view on the way it won at the curragh last time so I'm not alone in my thinking.
His action would suggest to me a slight ease in the ground shouldn't inconvenience him in the slightest. Thanks for the update com2, doubt he will be 1.85 come time of the race imo. Most definitely a max play at that price even though I rarely bet odds on

Kind of agree with you Silver,Darwin was always holding GLB from just under 2f out,got 1st run as well, emphathic but no way pulling a cart,8lb and softer ground won,t have me rushing to bavk Darwin either.

will be interesting to see the debut run of the well bred ( teofilo out of a sinndar mare ) wexford town runs in the maiden, plenty of nice entries and if market support might suggest they think it worthy of the entries they would like to be going close in this open looking maiden although stable seems quiet at the minute

Wow - Free Eagle ( Weld) showed some toe there and they were hardly a bunch of duds behind. Next race should be fascinating. Karezak (Oxx) ran on from the rear and could pick up a routine staying event in the back end.
