Galway Day 3

Have you ever seen anything like this for the Galway Festival. Whatever about some of the Maidens where a highly rated Weld Horse scares them off this is frightening for the future of the game.
Did Trainers sleep for it. This race always had a good turnout. A 3yo 60-85 handicap over a mile on perfect ground. What more do trainers want?

The 2.74 would have been even nicer , Swardean , even if it was only £50 or so .  There is a weather warning around for Galway according to ATR just now . Might be a deluge some time today .

Thought the 4.45 was an interesting race,NH v flat over a mile and a half,not sure the flat lot are up to much. Union Dues on debut and in his grade 2 at Navan travelled and quickened well in both and is a worthy fav,could easily outclass this lot.Owega Star has been chasing though not settling great,has decent graded form last year to say he could run well,hard to go against the fav however.
Impressed with Shanpallas 4.10 run at Down Royal,won very well and got 11lb for it. Extra 1/2 mile should suit,the 5th that day Landero hacked up nto and could be the danger today.The stables Domination was backed on Monday and went very near,will be watching the betting for him.
Hoping for a Davy double with Romanesco 5.30, looks very well in given his fall in the Irish national. GL.

Carlingford of course will love the rain. Pictures on ATR looked ugly for Galway. Be a dirty day to be going racing that is for sure
