A friend of Mary Robinson and Joe OToole.

Enough evidence in that line alone to convict him

He received 16 years of disability payments as a Trinity lecturer -I am not sure it was ever properly diagnosed, some rare form of hepatitis but was still capable of carrying out full time duties as a senator earning in excess of €60,00 per annum.

The man is an absolute fraud but I am sure his latest disgraceful comments will be partially excused by his recent ill health.

Sounds like the OP had no joy with the Senator. I agree with that last line 100% though.

A hideous individual ...and to think the Irish people were once warming to the idea of making him President!

Sickening listening to Senatress Ivana Bacik soft-pedalling on the loathsome Norris -even after he blatantly insults a woman in a national forum and hasn't got the decency to apologise properly ( no surprise there).
The upside is that people might see this as yet more reason to abolish that monstrosity of an institution that provides a cosy platform for a bombastic boor like Norris.

post removed due to the obvious insult to all us UCD alumni.  mr norris, naturally, an all time trinity man.
the delicious irony we get with most liberals unmasked yet again, he promotes all sorts of tolerances and denounces bullying and abuse, nonetheless when his real skin is revealed we find an intolerant bully prepared to take a cheap shot at a relatively unknown lady. anyone who says they are a liberal are generally a liberal only when it suits.

His so called apology made very interesting reading!Ivana Bacik's reaction might have been slightly different if it were Michael Healy Rae who made the comments!!

Norris has been shown as what he really is. Many of us have known this for years but the RTEs and Dublin fours have pushed his agendas for years. It also just says it all about the Seanad. A complete waste of money. Has the Seanad ever achieved anything. Good riddance.

Surely if he was disabled , and receiving benefit from the state  , at the same time as working as a senator and receiving a salary .   The state should inquire if they are entitled to redress ...
