In fairness to RTE they're not as bad as TV3 for live GAA, whose sound, and main commentator, are dire!

Pre-fat,
I agree totally on that one TV3 chronic but this habit of Duignam butting in every minute with some inane piece of bullsh1t drives me for the mute button. I listened to most of the second half with the sound turned down. And half the time in the excitement of the moment you don't even understand what he's saying, to me he sounds like an American tobacco leaf auctioneer that no one can understand anyway. It's 2013 and not Michael O Hehir on steam radio, the crackly days are past and we are in a different era now, get rid of him. Just another excuse to waste our TV licence money.

m duignaN one of the best co commentators there is.he  sees things before they happen.most hurling people agree hes good.i feel you pron got something personal against him if you think hes bad

The point I'm trying to make is that his inputs are too frequent and become intrusive when all we need is the commentator and even though he (Ger) knows very little about the game all we really need in this day and age is a Philip Greene type meander just to let us know a few facts. Basically, it's telly we can see, no instructions required.
