5.10-Cailin Annamh(2.48)-I thought she would be odds on for this mares maiden hurdle, runner up in a listed bumper at Aintree and unlucky not to win on her first run over hurdles at Down Royal in a stronger race(4th and 5th have both won maidens since).(Robbie Power is a major negative tho).

7.40-Won in the Dark (LAY)-Plenty of ability but is extremely quirky(being kind),top class hurdle form such as 4th in the Grade one behind Solwhit at Aintree but he doesn't win too often(1 win from his last 30 runs).Having his second run over fences now if he was a natural he would have been jumping them before he was nine.

Can't disagree with those two.

My nap is in Bellewstown in the 19.55 its the ground loving Giants Quest,he is by Giants Causeway out of a Danehill mare so loves fast ground, some questioned his resolution but I think he just needs firmish ground. He won his maiden in Gowran and was mighty impressive as it seemed competitive yet he just sprinted away from them should never be a double figure price in this field and seems a certainty to be placed.

Power doesn't inspire confidence does he, she made some very bad mistakes there so she's probably a gutsy little thing.

I wouldn't put anyone off Playtime Ben in the Beginners Chase. Hopefully he can cut down the errors. I think he will get the trip and hopefully going a lick slower will help with the jumping.

On hindsight even though 13L behind Fiesolana it wasn,t bad form from the winner. Good ride too from Conor King, kept a cool head for a young fella.

Jockey Danny Mullins has been handed a 14 day suspension at Bellewstown...

The Irish Field ‏@TheIrishField 1m
..Mullins was deemed to have acted in a manner prejudicial to the
integrity, proper conduct and good reputation of racing

The Irish Field ‏@TheIrishField 56s
.. the matter arose after Mullins drove an Order Of Malta vehicle after the
seventh race in order to return to the weighroom
