im not sure you are serious Wildman or just looking for a reaction?..firstly as someone who has travelled in the region..and know a little of its history I will say there are wrongs on both sides..i for one despise muslim fundamentalists,..and I would do all in my power to make sure they could not take over..whether that be by fair or foul,..but Israel has blood on its hands too ..its human rights record is awfull..it condemns people to prison without trial..and robs palestinian land and expects the palestinians to accept it?,this is all about religion,..(im a atheist)..Israel is surrounded by possible enemies..and only makes matters worse buy stealing more land..they will always get the u.s support,..a man I admired, told me once..BAD MEN DO BAD THINGS, BUT FOR GOOD MEN TO DO BAD THINGS IT TAKES RELIGION,..i don't know the answer Wildman..but it,ll only be sorted if they talk...

Do you not believe that the Palestinians want to kill all Israelis?
Whether that position is justified is another matter. |

Lay down your arms and we will have peace.( Promise we wont take the rest of your land and kill anybody who stands in the way) Seriously we promise. Trust us .

By:
no Wildman..not all palestinians want to kill the Israelis..what about fateh..they are fighting a civil war in there own territory with hamas..why did hamas come to power instead of the plo?..co,s the israelis wouldn't give a inch on land ..and made the plo look weak to there own people ..so we end up with a democratically elected hamas
..animals..but it suits the way the israelis want to portray all arabs...as I said both sides have a lot of blood on there hands..but it is Israel who hold the power..and unless they throw a crumb or two..nothing will change.. |

Borneo (Il Duce) is starting to make fellow neo-cons Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld look like boy scouts.
In fact he may well be Tipperary's answer to Jean Marie Le Pen. |

You will notice no argument just vitriol, amazed you didn't call me a Nazi that's the favoured bit of name calling for the intolerant liberal but then not sure them Nazis were fond of Jews.

Wildman..there are no such thing as champagne socialists..although I don't see a problem with that..there are plenty of socialist leaning millionaires who gladly pay there tax,s unlike right wing tories who want everyone to work for less than the minimum wage..while they have a lot more than everyone else..it amazes me people don't understand conservatism..to conserve..(to keep what you have)..back to the PALESTINIANS..Wildman that's there land..they have lived there before anyone else..jews have a right to live were they want,..but why should they take others land and call it there own co,s there are gods chosen people?..the prime minster of isreal right now is no more interested in peace as was bush listening to there was no wmd in Iraq...im no lover of the muslim faith..but to just say its all there fault...well im sorry Wildman..its not right

don't make out u have to be a raging right-winger to sympathise with Israel. Israel has friends in the British labour party, as well as in Ireland
I'd be more pro-Palestinian than Borneo but i don't blame him for feeling that way. Part of the problem is perception and how the media portrays it. If its to be solved it'll require significant movement from both sides |
|
By:
How can Socialist Republicans on here like Pa Lapsy, FreddieK, Richters and JatTrump sit back and this kind of rhetoric on the chin?
At least Tony 57 had the cojones to get off the fence and stand up against this far -right biggoted triumphalism. |

OZY , the usual rants and name calling have began i see ..Reminds me why you lose so many arguments on here , You keep resorting to type....

I forgot new-co joe...another god fearing Socialist. Where has he disappeared to..doesn't seem to spend much time sheltering in the library now that the weather has improved?
Kick in the teeth for The Brethern now that Borneo has now formally declared for the Far Right! |

well exactly Tony. the redeaming feature of wonky is there is a bit of humour in him. Not something that applies to Il Duce.
|

Tony57 and I have had a discussion we have differing views but at no stage did we insult each other, there was no name calling( that's the preserve of the snipers the ones incapable of discussing anything) and we certainly haven't fallen out.
It is possible to have differing views and still get on. |

agreed oz and Wildman..i enjoyed the battle Wildman..is it fair to say its a draw today?..resume later in the week on another topic?

A score draw.
There was a brilliant article about General Galtieri during the Falklands war when the author said " I have no problem with the general its his friend I don't like Neil Kinnock,Arthur Scargill Tony Benn Lord Scarman and Charlie Haughey " |

very good Wildman.. |
|
By:
Ok Wildman this is my take on the whole thing, ban religion. Failing that have Israel go back to the original country they were given and let it go from there i think you'd have lasting peace. I knew a lad from Palestine that was a hair dresser in town, he told me some stories, also told me when he came out his Palestinian mates accepted it fine but his Israelites mates chose to ignore him afterwards, i think that puts serious doubt into the lies you told on here about who were the more open minded.

Glad ye enjoyed that lads....We all have opinions , As someone i knew once said , Opinions are like Arse holes everyone has has one...WAR is a terrible thing , As Eckart Tolle says if we keep Blaming one another , the result will just remain the same ...Revenge is a sickness , lots of people who have Huge Egos Experience this ...Their need to be always right is the cause of most World Conflicts ....

The voices heard on the taped conversations of Anglo Irish bankers were not those of the Irish people, President Michael D Higgins said today.
we can but hope that the man whom I greatly admire is right but he would be saddened by the bigotry and xenophobia that is more and more apparent amongst us. on the plus side, I think most of this stuff is merely grandstanding and private opportunistic opinions held are not enunciated in public when the veil of anonymity is absent-closet taliban rather than dogs of war |
|
By:
Royal Academy is right when he says" private opinions held are not enunciated in public when the veil of anonymity is absent " and its because people are frightened by this new liberal tyranny.
Laws have been introduce to silence some opinions, its not fashionable or chic to be patriotic, its not fashionable to hate globalisation, its not fashionable to support Israel,I personally am not afraid to give my views but its easy for me as I don't live in Holland. |

There is only one legitimate Seeker of Truth and Justice on here and that is the Betfair Moderator, whom I must say is doing an outstanding job. (if you are ever in need of alternative employment the doors of Ozymandius Inc are forever open to you, needless to say I am an equal Opportunities Employer).
Borneo, you are being torn to shreds here, Betfair is patently embarrassed by you. There are plenty of Far Right forums where you can openly spout hatrid, should you wish to do so. |

OZY , so battered and bruised by Wildmanfromborneo , he's now begging the Moderator for help against his all conquering enemy....

Its remarkable how much Borneo's posturing mirrors that of the BNP;
* The real enemies of the British people are home grown Anglo-Saxon Celtic liberal-leftists ... and the Crescent Horde—the endless wave of Islamics who are flocking to our shores to bring our island nations into the embrace of their barbaric desert religion" * "As a Nationalist I can say that I support Israel 100% in their dispute with Hezbollah. In fact, I hope they wipe Hezbollah off the Lebanese map and bomb them until they leave large greasy craters in the cities where their Islamic extremist cantons of terror once stood." "We should be positioning ourselves to take advantage for our own political ends of the growing wave of public hostility to Islam currently being whipped up by the mass media" |
|
By:
You seem very quick at times to stand up for Islam ..That makes me ask the question , As a man who's often on here claiming the likes of myself is homophobic ...Could you give us a little insight into your thinking re the Korans attitude towards homosexuals .....?...
|
|
By:
Obviously I don't support all elements of Islamic thinking.
Muslim's belief systems are very close to those of Conservative Christians. They both hold socially conservative views: 90 per cent think homosexuality is wrong, 84 per cent believe sex outside of marriage is a sin, and 77 per cent think abortion is wrong. |
