Riding better than ever. He rode them to sleep there.

The Aga Khan and John Magnier must be tearing out whats left of the little hair they have.

Great jockey, comes across as a decent kind of bloke as well, but how can we forget the manner in which he got sucked in to the Coolmore 'hype machine' with every horse he rode for Ballydoyle 'best ever'. Sickening at the time. A little bit naïve, or even silly, in the way he burnt his bridges with the Aga Khan. But still no doubting his qualities in the saddle.

He certainly rode them to sleep in the Pretty Polly and thought he had the ATR Cup in the bag later on until Seamie came out of the clouds to do him.

If anything his ride in the Cup race was even better. Had them all ridden to sleep in a tactical race and one could not legislate for what the winner did

What a ride on Chicquita. Magnier must have lost millions having sacked /or removed Johnny from the Coolmore set up.

Did he not kind of remove himself from the Ballydoyle set-up ? I seem to remember he gave a few of his last rides for APo'B shockers, most especially at the Breeders Cup meeting. He is without doubt a top jockey but he has had his trials and tribulations down the years. But are we forgetting the likes of Lester Piggott, Pat Eddery, Willie Carson, Bill Williamson, Ron Hutchinson and a few others. There is no doubt that Johnny Roe was excellent, followed by MJ Kinane, and I guess little doubt that JP Murtagh is the best in this Country at the moment. However the great RL Moore is for me the best jockey riding at the moment.
