The country could save a fortune on anaesthetic's by just putting this game on for people about the undergo a medical procedure. Horrendous.

desperate stuff but that is the way the game has gone, its time to limit the hand pass in a movement and get back to the way the game was meant to be played.

wouldnt think the wind matters much the way both sides are playing.

Poor match , worse ref . Dropped from panel 3 years ago , there must be some beauties out there if he is back in the fold .

Down were as good ( or as bad) as Donegal , but Donegal won .

Down players afraid to shoot until they get really close in. Some of the points McFadden stroked over showed the contrast

it gets down to what is all about kelly,o hare misses a kick because he didnt have the bottle and murphy nonchalantly strokes over a 60 yard free.

thompson ran 14 steps out of defence.wasnt fouled..result.a free out.worst ref i ever seen and i seen a few beauts in my time.they should be ashamed to let him ref championship games.amazing the rte panel said nothing bout him.they might be muzzled on the issue

Murphy and McFadden are All Stars , kingrat , Down dont have any , outside of Benny years ago .  Benny looked like he didnt want to score today , not his usual style .

Re refs , not surprised there is a lack of decent ones .  Football is meant to be a recreational sport , when there are so many hand passes its more like reffing a basketball match .

Eliminate the hand passing GAA , its meant to be FOOTball .  Downs efforts at point scoring today were dire  , against Derry they took a lot of scores well .

Surprised some of the players did not boil over at reffing today , frustrating .

Good on you kavvie , from about halfway through second half I thought Down might still win the match .  Down not usually in low scoring games , think Donegal were a bit below par today for whatever reason .

Down gave as good as they got in the physical department and like Tyrone turned really good possesion into nothing.

Down played some really good football but typical Donegal lived off scraps but enough?

my gut feeling ids teams are leaning how to play them.neither tyrone or down had the players to score from out the field..well 35/40 yrd out.which is strange in downs case as they were scoring for fun against derry.the players looked to be afraid to try.benny coulter passed today to players in worse positions.whats happened him?he hadnt a single shot at goal v derry and kicked one today into the goalies hands.looks a pale shadow of the player he was.or is it tactical?he has me puzzled

Coulter is more of a goal getter than a kicker of points. Don't think he is a great kicker of the ball. I don't think there is any team in the country with the players to consistently kick points from 40 metres out. Don't think that is a runner as a way to beat blanket defense. Most of the kicking I see from distance at inter county level is either wild or dropping into the keepers hands. Mind you, I don't think they were knocking then over for fun from distance in the 70's or 80's either from what I have seen of All Ireland gold.

Jim McGuinness has brought gaelic football to a whole new level...........................Rock Bottom. With his negative tactics and the cynical fouling and sledging employed by his team he is single handedly destroying our lovely game. He should fkkuck off to Glasgow Celtic and stay there.

Donegal have it to a fine art unfortunately very willing to give away possession invite you on foul in certain areas, get bodies back deep and have exceptionally fit players to carry the ball out of defense.very hard for good football to prevail

Like their style of football or loathe it, Donegal play within the rules.

I think Mayo have the players and style of play to beat Donegal this year.

I think it could be Mayo's year, its long overdue and I wouldn't rule out Kerry.
