Yup thats it, I certainly called it wrong. Colic surgery might have had an effect too, but the form isn't in the book.

was a great horse camelot, probably cheated out of a triple crown. health scares have taken their toll.

A great horse he certainly isn't.
The Epsom Derby last year was the worst in history, none of his competitors that day won a race after for the season.
He was out in his feet at the Curragh in bottomless ground to beat a listed rated grinder in born to sea. That race definitely left its mark as well as the colic surgery.

Great horse?, scraped home in the guineas, beat a bunch of trees at Epsom beat another bunch of trees at the Curragh unimpressively, got beat by a slow boat at Doncaster got stuffed in the Arc, won Mooresbridge workmanlike , comprehensively beaten by Al Kazeem in the Tattersalls and again today.

Great??.

i always judge a horse by the profile and races won, so the forms nothing special, still a great horse,
was nearly a triple crown winner. will agree to disagree. winning derbys and guineas, is still very
good standard, ok maybe not a great horseLaugh

Didn't improve enough physically from the age of two. Was fortunate to race against a ghastly Classic crop. Awful to think he would have won an undeserved Group One at four had it not been for one British trainer who was happy to target an easy race.

amazing what coolmore have lost as a tllion.retire him undefeated after 2 derbys and a guineas.advertise him as the new super sire.they would have enough made before any of his progeny raced..not like them to slip up!!

If they genuinely believed he was useless, why didn't they retire him after the colic surgery? They had and from the sounds of their quotes after the race, still have huge faith in the horse.

I don't think anyone was saying the horse is useless, he's a good horse but doesnt even come close to the OTT hype they adorned on the horse, all of his form from 2, 3 and 4 you can pick huge holes in it.

so have i neill to an extent.he won guineas/derby so he has to be better than hes showing this yr so far.also apob said hes best he ever trained.in spite of the cynical view of him saying that becaus of stud val etc,i doubt he would say it willy nilly.he said the horses split times etc at ballydoyle were unreal.ill give him another chance.

The way he traveled today they might consider going back up in trip?,I know he's entered in the Eclipse but I think it might be worth looking at.

I thought George Washington was the best he ever trained, or was it that great bull of a horse from Oz, or was it Yeats. or did he say it was Henrythenav, oh no that was Murtagh's call, twas one cool kat, oh no I know now who it was  Istabraq, yah listen ladz he was just the best, best ever ................

In a normal year I would rule him out(and It will have to be a very weak group 1),but the older horses this year are shocking! The prince of wales today was a group 1 in name only(if you look at how close Miblish and Side Glance were).
A horse that would interest me, if the eclipse were to turn out to be his target would be Mars.It could be a year where the 3 year olds dominate I think,

cant believe they ran him in the leger, cant believe they ran him in the arc..........and really cannot believe they kept him in training as a 4 year old.
