I read an interview in rp with him. he said he is not making money training horses but he will be ok as he started with alot of it. if he( who seems to be a succesful trainer) is not making it pay how are trainers lower down the chain making a crust?

Hard to make it pay when you own all the horses!!!!

Born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Average enough trainer.

Lynam's father bought the lahunda park stables and leased them to Jim Bolger before he went to Coolcullen,Lynam then started training there with the vast majority of the horses owned by his father.

Well Wildman, batteries recharged??So did you lay Dawn Approach on Saturday??

Have you been racing much lately??

Went to the Curragh for the two classic days, great racing great weather but poor crowds.

I laid Dawn Approach for the Derby before the Guineas so it wasn't what I won but rather what I didn't lose,a Pyrrhic victory.I hope you laid it as you called the race right.

New Approach is the sire of the moment but I have my doubts about them,he himself was quirky and I think his progeny are showing some temperament.

I wouldn't crab them,he has made some start -was only €50,000 at the start of the year.
What an opportunity Jim Bolger has identified and is exploiting as acting as an intermediary between Coolmore and Darley.

What did you make of the tactics of the race??Buick and Spencer have openly criticised the tactics calling it a joke of a race.
The sectional times suggest that Battle of Marengo might be a doubtful stayer??

Is there any tension between Magnier/AOB in your opinion??

I think Buick was wrong when he said it was a deliberate ploy to slow the pace down, that's too far fetched for me.

Battle of Marengo has never ever impressed me a slow beast rather than non stayer.

If there are tensions between OBrien and Magnier they will be hidden as both need each other.

Jamie Spencer wants to be last in every race he rides, the little chap isnt the sharpest i'd say. Its a shame really as he is quite talented but he is far too one dimensional, very much like Derek O Connor . Jamie should have a look at his ride in the Oaks,i suppose that was another joke race. The horse he rode in the Derby isnt worth 2 bob either, but id be surprised if Jamie even knows that.

Yulong Bajou bit unlucky in Fairyhouse.A good job the ambulance  is on the inside of the track or the jockey would have had to come around it as well as every runner in the race...
