nobody admits to voting for him in wx,however he topped the poll, says more about the other candidates than him imo,he done some good work with the youths football set-up and should have stuck to that, sneaky underhand mouth in the political moneybowl

I don't think a minister of justice should be making allegations against an individual on television with privileged information he surely shouldn't be disclosing.

Speaking in Boston, the Taoiseach said the minister was making the point that someone cannot say that there should be no discretion used and at the same time avail of it.

Surely the whole point is, its not Wallace who "Availed" of the discretion, its the Garda involved who decided to use it.What exactly was Wallace to do, ask to be charged? Wallace is a joke but Shatter

Mr Kenny also said the minister is not in a position where he is collecting files on an individual.

But he is......He has clearly been given information on a minor offence relating to a political opponent. No one can convince me he is getting the file/information on every misdemeanour committed in the state. He has also made comments on Ming Flanagan which would not have been in the public domain.

....but Shatter has to resign imho for releasing private information and using it in the political arena.

It's true what Jay Leno said, " politics is show business for ugly people". As for Claire Daly, she was so ugly when she was a child her mother had shutters on her pram.

Mick Wallace on Prime Time when pressed out about could he remember the incident "No I don't" ,has suddenly regained his memory.I haven't much time for Shatter /Wallace but Wallace is a hypocrit and fairly ironic that he is now trying to gain leverage from "standard in public office".

Instead of making a complaint to the Standards in Public Office Comission he should make one to his barber.....

The people who voted for him must be a crowd of proper fools. Same re Ming.

less flees in a hairy leg cob than our two so called politicians, next leaders questions they should ask kenny does he think the muppets in opposition threaten the muppets that sit on his side of the house.
Just seen the frightening facts about money transfers from Ireland to Nigeria. Where is this money coming from?

baNjackst , I've been saying this for years , It costs a fortune to get a family from Africa to England then on to Ireland , they are told the cost can be recouped by sending the money back when they receive all the allowances that are made available to them when they arrive  here...We are paying the people smugglers ....

drinking hot whiskeys before driving, smoking dope and using a mobile while driving, sounds like we should listen to these 3 respectable people. They certainly look the part.
And we wonder WHY the country is on its knees. Is there that many braindead voters out there.

Wallace started a football club to help the working class youth of his area. Ok he's not perfect but for Shatter to do what he did shows the old boys club is still alive in this country, Shatter needs to apologise to the people of Ireland as much as the loveable rogue Wallace !

don't forget the rottenest of them all kavvie: CJH. He started the rot and a generation followed. Every scandal and enquiry (beef, Ansbacher etc) all had their origin with this greedy, power-hungry, dub. I honestly think we Irish never learn from our mistakes.

I wonder what future scandals are festering away today based on privilege, lack of oversight, greed or the usual Irish paddywhackery?

Brain dead jockeys is right, between him,Ming and the Healy Raes and quite a few others,we are a laughing stock. Imagine this kind of gombeen being an elected representative in some country like France,Germany or Britain. Imagine what the people in those countries are thinking.
