Very sad to hear of the passing of this young man last night, at such a young age. Thoughts go out to his family.

Indeed McKenna ....very sad .... When people think back on someone that inspired a nation in years to come the name of young Donal Walsh will spring to mind no doubt .....
Anyone that has a spare 15 mins and  hasn t read the irish independent piece below  he did a month ago should take a look .
An amazing young man . Rest in Peace young Donal .

Sad indeed, of all the advances in technology, we can fly to the Moon send probes to Mars etc, cured numerous diseases yet many forms of this bloody Cancer keeps on eluding some of the greatest human minds.

He was on the Late Late a few weeks ago. Great fella. Despite his short life his parents and sister must be very proud of him. A fine reflection on them also.

I remember when Richard Nixon signed the National Cancer Act of 1971 he stated that hopefully cancer would be a all but gone in a generation from now,.. 42 years later we know thats not the case , but we must never faulter in our attemps to   CONTROL a disease that we all have some one that we cared about lose there lives to.     R.I.P DONAL
