Watching Sergio in Tin Cup 2

He hit his first shot on 17 so easy/leisurely it was only going one place after that it was lights out. I'm on twitter some called it early today that his meltdown was always gonna happen.

In hindsight he shoulda done what Tiger done at 17 and play safe he went for the flag looking to give himself a birdie opportunity he messed it up, brave or stupid?, so mentally after that he was a goner.

Jeff Maggert is guaranteed to make one big mistake late on when in contention for a major tournament which he has done on many occasions over his long career, 17 was his waterloo, but in fairness he did birdie the 18th, another case of what might have been for the often mentally frail but talented golfer.

Sergio obviously took the wrong option but imo he did not relish a play-off with Tiger and reckoned if he could get a 2 on 17 it was his best chance of winning. Overall he did play well but I would never back him to win anything.
