Comrade,

In light of the humiliating final defeat and departure of the Leader of the Axis Powers, I believe it is now time to make peace with the remaining Axis High Command, namely workrider and Richters.

I call upon you to lay down arms and embrace these good men.  Deserted and let down by their once omnipotent Leader, we can expect them to occassionaly lash out in frustration.  We must remain magnanimous and diffuse the situation.  In light of any provocation, we must merely reply 'War is Over'.

Kindly alert the troops down the chain of command to our new stance.

Rest assured should Borneo reappear hostilities will be immediately reconvened.

Yours, in Peace

Peace and harmony on the forum, Pa.  A worthy outcome.  I can see no downside.

It its natural that you feel affection for your former Leader.  In time these feelings will fade, the mourning will be complete and he will become a mere footnote.

The wildmanfromborneo is better off away from this forum,he is one of the rare dying breed of old style gambler who hasnt a whole lot in common with the younger type of modern gambler that has reared its ugly head since the inception of the dreaded internet. The wildman pays his money and takes his chances, and isnt afraid to nail his colours to the mast pre race. He so unlike most modern day punters, likes to leave his bet ride, likes to bet in cash, likes to attend the meetings, and isnt afraid to admit it when he gets it wrong. Id have alot more respect for him than these new breed of punting nerds who think they are clever with their back to lay,lay to back, trading, arbing, nonsense. The modern punting geek never seems to get it wrong, they never lose,if their selection wins then its happy days,if its beat then they traded out. An other thing is that unlike the wildmanfromborneo, the geek has an extremely wide knowledge of all sports, they are experts on horses, soccer,GAA,rugby, etc. Sometimes their talent can stretch as far as the Eurovision song contest, its absolutely amazing,it really is. The wildmanfromborneo differs from the geek in so far as he is fully aware that its nigh on impossible to win on any internet site nowadays, these other clowns will be singing the praises of betfair continuosly, and will be the ones saying "that was matched at this, and that was matched at that". The modern day geek will be the one that has himself convinced he is winning even when largely they are not,and are the best after dinner speakers in living memory. Gambling has changed so much in the last 10 years, the real punters are a thing of the past,as are the real bookies, not surprising as one cannot flourish without the other. Whats left now is a band of traders, arbers, fiddlers and the worst of all the parasites that dont gamble at all, thats the most depressing and ironic thing about it,and that is that crowd that risk nothing are the ones that are getting whatever money is to be got.
Anyway wildmanfromborneo, good luck to you and if you decide to pack up this forum, then id be surprised if you miss it,in fact i think its time i joined you,as i think i have enough of it myself.

Well said Jimeen, you,re another fella who is knowledgeable and has a view pre event and have to agree with you that there is very little left on here particulary on horse racing(Royal Academys thread excepted) Time to go alright.

We all know Wildman ain't the worst but he has disappeared since he got the times of the races mixed up, i'm not sure if he was telling the truth or not so we'll take him at face value for this one. I don't believe people stop logging in because of banter you see that was the one thing Wildman loved most of all and he said it a number of times was having some craic, others might not like anything other than betting talk but they're plenty of forums that die off because they are just all about betting as the vast majority of what you're reading is bad tips which when you think bout it is spot on more people lose at betting than win.

I would say he is like most people who disappear they simply run out of money and i'm not trying to have a go at anyone but that's the truth, i know because i've worked in the industry and it's a massive fear for exchanges that the bigger fish eat the smaller ones and the smaller ones toddle off. I'm pretty sure it's not the last we've seen of the Wildman, well i hope not.

Btw the poster i most enjoyed over the years was Blessington, he wrote excellent previews imo.

Rocket,

This place is dying.  Roadrunner's laundry list of sire's progenies do not make for riveting reading, the next Dick Francis, he is not.

I urgently need you to cook up a good conspiracy theory, the following phrases should be included;

Mullins
Meade
Bumper
Money Men
Cash in betting ring
Pater
Vets
You don't understand
Money down
Cattle medicine
Cover Up

Oh and throw in a few text messages that you have personally seen, confirming all of the above.  Top it all off with an eye-catching provocative thread title.

The wildman can look after himself I'm sure, he's far from sulking after a powderpuff battering from Ozy and Rocket?
Report richters May 13, 2013 7:09 PM BST

Unfortunately he busted himself, Greaser, and is too proud too take a digout to get him going again (I offered to organise it).

Just like Honey?
Report Ozymandius May 13, 2013 7:13 PM BST
yes, they are helpful terms , Richters.  Especially 'short attention span', always thrown in if anyone dares to disagree.

Oh, Rocket, if the thread is removed, it is standard protcol to blame the 'thought police'.

Ozy generally I couldn't be assed to even bother with your, rocket and wildman etc petty arguments, but I do sometimes find it entertaining in a strange kind of way?

5 years from now somebody might win and have the final say because the other guy died of a heart attack?
Report roadrunner46 May 13, 2013 7:40 PM BST
you have to sift through the list of runners to find the good horses, its early days for the tracking thread.
im sure it will improve as the season goes on. will be happy if find few prolific winners from thoses 3 sires.
attwall has provided me with 3 wins this season (teofilo) discovered that by luck. free bets all season on
