Can Madrid qualify ? need to turn around a 4-1 deficit, but win 3-0 and they go through. Surely this could happen at The Bernabeau. But I would have thought that Dortmund in the to qualify would be around 1.16/1.18, on here now at 4's on looks decent for heavy hitters. Madrid were like lost sheep in Germany in the first leg, expect fireworks tonight, with Mourinho's star likely to fade if he cant turn this around. One word of caution for Dortmund backers, they were very lucky to put out Malaga in the previous round, and Madrid would probably hammer Malaga. Thinking I will back Madrid to get through, but should Dortmund score its curtains. hoping Madrid are 1nil or 2nil up at half time. Also Ramos could score if he dont get a red Wink

JAY  I've layed Real , SIMPLY because i think they'll have to chase the game from the get go and might leave themselves exposed at the back ..Plus if they dont score early the crowd will be on their backs and PEPE AND RAMOS likely to give away a pen at some stage ..Its only a small bet i'm having more for entertainment than anything else....

The most one sided bias commentating I've heard in a very long time and the other guy was like a sheep and just agreed with Lawrenson, even when Real dominated the first 20 minutes Lawrenson still had tunnel vision.
Report JayTrumpOldTomDubbl April 30, 2013 11:09 PM BST
Well said silver, and to deal with 'the other guy' in your oost I presume you are referring to the buckshee commentator, well if you are then he is Trevor and he's on a local radio on Saturdays with a sports/music programme, and its brutal. Its actually called 'whats the score Trevor', and the joke is he usually hasn't a clue. How he ever got a contract to do Champions League games well its as Gary Neville said "its unbelievable".
The game was lost in the early part as Madrid should have slotted one. I thought Ronaldo's early miss was the hardest of three chances. Higuain had a poor miss, but OZIL took the biscuit, a shocking miss, and it cost Madrid dearly, and cost Madrid backers also (including mise).......Sad

Tonights game should be as eventful as last nights ....Barca have an impossible task imo , and like their spanish comrades Real , will be playing to restore pride ..B..MUNICH will be determined to keep them quiet for as long as possible , knowing an early goal for Barca will set the tone for an onslaught of massive proportions ...Munich will be tough to breakdown , they have the players to counter attack with pace and punish Barca on the break...I'll be laying Barca with a view to greening up ....
Report CheltenhamRoar May 1, 2013 4:10 PM BST
if Barca had nicked one in Munich id have fancied them to qualify,if Munich score 1 Barca need 6!

6 Munich players one booking away from missing the Final so that may affect things somewhat,

Barca have left themselves with a mountain to climb but i do think they'll give it a good go,

4-1 Barca for me.
Report workrider May 1, 2013 4:40 PM BST
C/Roar those bookings should make things interesting indeed....It must be in the back of every players mind ,one slip and you'll miss the final ..what a thought , I still think it will be a close game ..i really cant see either team winning by a big margin...
Report silvergreaser May 1, 2013 4:52 PM BST
Barca were on the wrong end of a couple of dubious decisions in Munich the final scoreline was a little flattering but Munich were always the more potent side, that Barca failed to grab an away goal makes their task next to impossible tonight imo, and without Puyol that defence looks even more vulnerable than it already was.
Unless Barca can grab an early goal I can see the game petering out with Munich sitting deep, frustrate Barca with 10 behind the ball is the preferred tactic with the  plan of hitting Barca on the break, playing open football against Barca is usually suicidal in the Nou Camp but Barca have no plan b against these packed defences, even a mediocre Celtic team were able to defeat them with that tactic at Celtic Park?.
Report CheltenhamRoar May 1, 2013 4:55 PM BST
Yeah im not a fan on these yellow card meaning you miss such a huge game, its ridiculous,Straight red fair enough,

But a yellow for whats usually just an innocuous challenge meaning u miss such a huge game is madness.

Manager won't be shy in pulling any slackers wr - only a few weeks left with them himself.

Messi on the bench - must be still injured, quiet game last week -  very attacking line up from Bayern
Report JayTrumpOldTomDubbl May 1, 2013 7:30 PM BST
Barca need 4nil win to force extra time, or 5-0 to go through in 90min.Surely just too much to ask, and with LM on the bench, just a game to watch.........

Going back to last nights semi, I thought that the ref was very fair, but hard on Madrid just once or twice, and I am still wondering where was the Turkish ref that put Madrid through against Man Utd....needed him last night Laugh

Bayern look the better team so far, thought Barca would have a bit more spirit, starting to look as if they will be glad to get the match over unless a goal before 1/2 time.

Report JayTrumpOldTomDubbl May 1, 2013 9:38 PM BST
Outstanding BJG, and with more to come, could be dominant for a few years now, and Pep coming to take over, though I don't see a thing wrong with the present manager. Dortmund have a good record v bayern, but surely its looking good for BM.
