Laddies go 9 or more at evens.  Everyone else is 10 or more.  I think we will have a good festival, with Mullins getting at least 4 or 5(He is 7/4 to be top trainer).  Dessie Hughes will have at least 1 winner and Gordon Elliot had none last year, but looks set to get on the board this year.  Henry De Bromhead might help, and god knows what else has a chance.  I am taking this view as the ground situation, and so many question marks about the UK runners in soft.  The UK runners have had an interupted season with the weather over yonder also.

Top trainer looks a straight match between Mullins and Henderson, as Nichols has stated nearly all his yokes need good ground.

What ya think lads?

Interesting points but I can't see us getting that many, the English handicapper like me doesn't think much of the Irish handicapper so he has adopted a handicap them out policy for Irish horses. He seems to put the Irish horses in ten pound wrong there is one exception Alderwood and that is because they have been at it all year with him.
This effective dealing us out of these ultra competitive handicaps limits our chances,I don't fancy Hurricane Fly don't think we will win the bumper, think Quevega finally has some opposition, the bet has to be less than ten winners.

Yes it does look a straight match in regards top trainer with exchange prices 1.9 Henderson and 2.8 Mullins.4 winners is very often good enough to win this.
Hendersons best chances of winners include My Tent or Yours,Simonsig,
Sprinter Sacre,Captain Conan,Oscar Whiskey and Bobs Worth.
Mullins best chances seem to be Quevaga,Hurricane Fly,Back in Focus,
Boston Bob and Ballycasey with good chances in a fair few more races.
On the face of it the prices seem to be about right as Hendersons has stronger looking favourites.
The way i would look to play it would be after the first 2 races if Henderson draws a blank you would really have to fancy Mullins and pending on the price may be a strong play.
The ground not being "good" may be a help to the Irish runners this year.GL

I cant believe the confidence in MTOY, chatterbox put him in his place, and he won a slowly run handicap, where his turn of foot ended it, although Cotton Mills jumping wasnt the best that day.  Im waiting for the money to come for MTOY and I will fill my wellies(Aigles)Grin
