No 10 not named yet , reckon Madigan should be given the nod , Paddy Jackson had his chance against the Scots , didnt deliver for me , particularly kicking wise , and he was not great for Ulster last match ( despite a MOM award ? ) . Still has a lot to learn young Paddy , but he has time on his side . Morecambe and Wise were rubbish the first time they appeared on TV ( saw them ) . Time can work wonders .

I'm a Madigan fan and I didn't think Jackson should have been picked in the first place but to be fair to him, i think you have to give him another run.

France a terrific bet at that price.
Only Saint Andrea's selection and substitute decisions can save us. |

You were spot on with your England call last time out Ozy, I was lucky to get the basic Hcp up in the end, never mind the fancy ones I was having a go at!

2 teams who started out the campaign with large expectations , particularly France . Both have disappointed , France looked like 15 guys picked off the street for the first 2 matches , improved a bit last time .
Ireland started out like a quarter horse , possibly due to pathetic Welsh first half , since then they have spluttered and huffed and puffed their way to 2 defeats , despite huge possession against Scotland . Bit of an enigma so far Ireland . Cant call it , want to see the first up and unders ( should they restrict the fairly aimless kicking somehow ? ) and the cover for the half backs before pressing any buttons . Good call England to beat us a couple back , hindsight now says that was a smart , smart call . Hard to bet against your own though , unless you dont like them or take a skunner to some involved . |

Maybe it's my hard nosed, cold hearted, calcualted back ground in various industries that you need to be like this, but i say bet against your own team if it makes financial sense then you must do it Kelly. If they win they win if they don't you have a few bob in your pocket. Let's face it the one team we know best is our own team, so why not make money off them. |

Well , Rocketfingers , if I am not hard nosed or cold hearted , so be it , I can live with that . Maybe I should have said that its easier to back your own than back the opposition . More satisfying if it wins too . But I do understand the logic you apply .
Reckon we all do sentimental bets betimes , not often , but occasionally . Maybe thats the tack . In situations as outlined in the Ireland - France match I will probably not have a bet initially as I dont particularly fancy Ireland , but in running I might press a few buttons if I figure out any firm opinions . Cheers . |

Very well put Kelly, it isn,t all about "coin", whether you want to call it a bad bet or not so be it,your heart screams for a result if it comes up well and good, as you say not too often mind.

I "try" to back mainly on price, 10/11 is too big. I'll be cheering on Ireland though on the day once I'm in front of the TV. The wife gives me awful stick for backing against Ireland!
