Staying on at the death , never nearer , Surely willie wouldn't keep this in training if he's shown nothing at home ....Anyone have an opinion on this horse....

She's a filly to start with. She'll win a race some day, they all do.

workrider,
My view would be that she drifted because she isn't much good. I haven't seen any real promise in any of her recent runs bar on Feb 1st, including last night as she looked completely paceless. She looks one of those typical moderate fillies that races freely but is devoid of any sort of turn of pace. She might win a bad one some day, but she wouldn't be my idea of an attractive betting proposition. To answer your question of why WPM is persevering, look at her pedigree and look at her owner (boss in Ballylinch Stud), she is a broodmare prospect on paper and any win, no matter if it is off a mark of 47, would make her more valuable. |

I take that on board Redbait , That run you spoke about were she was unlucky gave me false hope ..I had a filly in 1991 who had no trip , That's the worst kind of horse to have , no matter what trip we tried her over she never did any good ...if you ran her at 5 fur she looked as if she needed 6 ..if you ran her over that she wouldn't get home etc ..A frustrating type if ever there was one ...Maybe legal lyric is in that mode....

I'd agree, workrider. Changes in trip or changes in trainer will never change the fact that the horse is one-paced. That is genetic.

It will probably sound like I'm backtracking here, but I reckon this was a case of a filly just not liking Dundalk, as in the kickback and how tight they race there, as she is tricky and needs things to go her way. As soon as she got on the turf, she was transformed. Hope you latched back onto her, workrider.
