Welcome to the club WR been in that sort of form since Punchestown fes .Couldnt do any wrong for about six months before that.Super Cheltenham last year. Hope for a repeat this year. You know what they say about luck......it always changes...if good it always turns bad...if bad changes to good. So every day that passes you are a day nearer to better luck.Hope it changes soon for you man. Cheers.

On a serious note Workrider two things in your post would give major concern for your suitability as a punter. One is "get out of trouble" and the other is backing an odds on fav in American racing.

Anyone who is trying to make profit from their gambling should not resort to doing either.

yes agree wtf would u have a bet on american horseracing without research or an edge,if you cant distance your emotions from betting its not going to end good imo

I'm sorry i might sound like a grade A C U Next Tuesday but how can you expect people to feel sorry for such muggish behaviour. Catch a hold of yourself betting on US racing. Clown a serious mug you've embarrassed your leader he'll be thrown out of the pub soon and you'll be in trouble when he gets back.

ah dear old coco , never fails , how wonderful you are , sorry if i fall down now and again , it must be brilliant never to have been tempted  to chase , never tempted to change your luck , you are so powerful , i bow before your superior patience , is this the same rocket that has other  people put on his bets because the bookies are scared of him...etc etc....i don't want anyone to feel sorry for me mister , i'm just voicing something ..i.e. putting it own in black and white so i can see it for what it is ...it called a written exercise ....instead of it been in your head its out there were you can see it ...you should try it sometimes it works , it really does...now about you never going near bookies shops..i fear your short attention span has worked again....you keep putting your hand out to be slapped ...i was going to say your infantile lies trip you up all the time ..but the word infantile is almost to ADULT FOR YOU....

But all this specials paying out early are just cheap PR spin with a max bet ranging from 100 to 250, I would not necessarily call them a good bookie because they've paid out early i'd would rather someone who took a proper bet, Powers if i go into the shop are fine but they're as quick as anyone to lift the phone and ring head office. BOG seems to be excellent for horse racing punters shame on Laddies if that is true huddys.....COCO  and here's me thinking you tell the truth on here .....so you PUT ON YOUR OW BETS DO YOU COCO...NO GANGS RUNNING AROUND PUNTING FOR YOU ...SHORT ATTENTION SPAN OR WHAT......WILDMANFROMBORNEO WALKED YOU INTO IT AGAIN ......Laugh

One thing is certain Rocketfingers and his two cronies can never go on a bad run as they don't bet, well i suppose they could go on a virtual bad run.

I see the leader has landed, bloody hell Wonky leaves himself wide open because of his chasing. Let me ask your leader, are you surprised he is losing if he's betting on a odds on shot in a 2 horse US horse race Wildmanfromborneo? Wonky this is the last place you'll get sympathy on here when acting like a complete mug.

That was only a temporary aberration from Workrider he is betting too long now not to make the odd mistake, you on the other hand could never make any mistake as you are risk averse and don't gamble.

Funny a disciplined punter would never be a mug like this, clearly chasing, it's extreme muggish behaviour, i make mistakes but this is the same for me as betting on football in Bolivia, in-running. You are his leader he looks up to you have a word. When you were banned for the 10 days in December he was very upset. We are going to have a bet on the LOI season btw.

Particulary dangerous time of the year workrider, with Cheltenham looming large and then Fairyhouse and Aintree in the rear view mirror, even the graded races at this time of the year can't be totally trusted.

Funny I thought it was the Unholy Trinity that was upset during that period,'twas ye created a thread about it Brendan Bracken/ Ozymandius made 14 posts  Rocketfinges/Manti Te'o made around the same but the champ was The Double O/ Never Give Up who made 17 odd posts and odd in both sense of the word.

This thread is about your foot soldier wonky and is total muggish behaviour and you sticking up for him. You are a clown but what wonky is well i simply don't have a word for him. What message can you give him tonight about chasing his money? Do you have any advice for him? Please answer these questions.

what i find amusing about this thread is the slagging off of someone who put a bet on american racing..............as if betting on our glorious irish NH racing is an encounter with something glorious..........where you have to guess who is fit and then guess who is trying etc............get a grip lads..........a punt is a punt.........its all gambling

a punt is a punt.........its all gambling

In the past three years I have never had a bet that I hadn't studied in advance for days and hours. A cursory glance at keen leader's advice would lead you to the conclusion "fun" betting is for mugs. My biggest ever loss came chasing losses on Sporting Index's "barking mad" market and it was a painful lesson never forgotten. It had started as a bit of fun and ended up costing me three month's pay.

It doesn't where the event takes place, in what discipline or at what time of the day or night, if you haven't done your homework and bet you will suffer a lot of pain as anything coming your way is just luck and you may as well be pulling the handle of a one-armed bandit.

I'm  a fan of the (in)famous "zulu principle" that encourages specialisation in a narrow field particulrly if time is the enemy.

thanks for the good wishes one and all...as an aside , i happen to like american racing from a punting point , having been to the breeders cup in 2007 i found my liking of american racing increasing at a rapid rate , i'd found it boring tbh ..but my experience and enjoyment of american racing changed after that visit to monmonth park ... been at the coal face so to speak changed all that ..some of the american form papers would put the racing/p irish/field to shame with the amount of information they give....anyway back to why i backed that horse , as i said it was a 7 runner race with two possible winners , having studied it i decided to punt the fav , i felt he had the form in the book ...sadly for me the horse broke down , simple as , it could happen to any horse on any given day .....royal academy , i respect your post , chasing is the death knell for punters ..

Rocketfingers

Wonky since you're having problems with your punting i made some guidelines i want you to try and follow.

Rule number 1 of betting Wonky don't chase. Rule number 2 of betting Wonky if you chase make sure you win. Rule Number 3 of betting Wonky if it losses don't come on here and tell us all about it. Rule number 4 of betting don't get mad when you get the you know what taken out of you for ignoring rules 1,2,3 Laugh
