Agree about Ladbrokes, rarely set foot in there anymore.
Betpack so some offers. |

For Football betting, PP's will lay a bet early in the week on football, online they'll limit you as quick as any of them, Spoils seem to scrape their prices so they're rarely top price, they're competitive i've never tried to get a very early price on football but the other side of this is they won't move a game if they take a half decent bet of you because they're scraping the price elsewhere. Laddies they're ok will lay you a bet although you may need to wait till match day or a day before.

Powers are miles ahead end of nobody comes near to them with their shop special, ladcrooker are a complete joke, and correct me if im wrong dont they not guarntee prices on singles if their isnt any powers or boyles shops walking distance to them,in fairness to boyles their shops arnt bad but very rarely top price on a fav, always remember a good few years ago powers paid out early on tiger to win the british open on the friday when miles clear, happy days backed him with them, didnt win that week either

But all this specials paying out early are just cheap PR spin with a max bet ranging from 100 to 250, I would not necessarily call them a good bookie because they've paid out early i'd would rather someone who took a proper bet, Powers if i go into the shop are fine but they're as quick as anyone to lift the phone and ring head office. BOG seems to be excellent for horse racing punters shame on Laddies if that is true huddys.

That was the PGA at Hazeltine huddys, when YE Yang ran him down.
They paid out when he was 4 clear after 36. He was still 2 clear after 54 but was only time he has lost 54 hole in a major. |

I don’t go to betting shops for the specials but would have a look at them most of the time for a laugh and maybe the odd bet if I think there priced wrong
The key in my opinion would be are they going to lay a bet Spoils staff have had it beaten into them about laying bets and they are paranoid about it and will ring in 20ew single if they’re not sure Laddies staff will lay a bet but you have a problem if they ring it in because their trading Dept seem to knock back ridiculous bets probably due to inexperience Paddies knocking back morning prices to a limit of €100 is worrying because I’m of the opinion they are trying to wean their punters of taking prices with all these specials that require you to take SP (2/1 =4/1) etc. Both Laddies and Spoils would withdraw the price guarantee if they could get agreement with Paddies so we don’t want that to happen One interesting thing in laying bets was the article in the Racing Post the other day that Laddies have closed their Trading Dept in Ireland and relocated it back to the Uk. Don’t know whether that a good thing or a bad thing. |

One of the Laddies shops I go to occasionally were handling phone bets from all over the place about a year or so ago , the staff were getting paid a small premium for each bet handled over the phone . Not sure whether that qualifies as part of a "trading operation " , the clerk concerned would not be top of any shrewdies I know ( some of their staff ARE shrewd , and betimes punters themselves ) .
No boils amywhere near me , closed my internet a/c after 2 months reasonably satisfactory service , Paddies OK for cash bets in the few that exist up here , internet OK but no BOG . Paddies "offers" up here depend on geography and fellow competitors considerations . Mostly bean counters nowadays , and it will get worse believe me . Shops have seen their heyday , wont be back unfortunately . Gradual decline . Sad but thats the logical outcome of revised betting patterns and expectations . |

Ladbrokes make Irish changes
IN A change to their operations in Ireland, Ladbrokes are transferring their trading section from their Irish head office in Dublin to London. |

I agree Ladcrookes are a shambles...the worst of the worst.
a lot of there staff are young in some dublin shops ive been to and are always hungover on a saturday and sunday Very unhelpful.... I dont go near there shops anymore.... I like betpack also....they have a good European soccer sheet each w/e with some good value... i do like PP's but i do the odd bet in betpack also... most of my bets are on here and bet365... i find bet365 one of the best online bookies... |
|
By:
Bet356 have some good prices , but severe restrictions on stakes , not as bad as Sqortingbet who regularly let you have 66p on a 3/1 shot . Not worth processing a bet at those figures .

AT the min P.P are way ahead BUT THAT NOT SAYING A GREAT DEAL, I ran in to one of the laddies managers on my travels today and he said he never sees me in the shop much..how come he asked? all i could say to him was check out odds cheecker and you will see.,,, steverill is also right about young staff ..there might be light at the end of the tunnel with a few cheltenham specials bringing healthy competition between the 3 but like my typeing i wont hold my breath.

No mention of spoils disgraceful practice of printing out new football coupons every half hour or so on a saturday, slashing the prices on numerous games, the final printed coupon bares no resemblance whatsoever to the original coupon printed on the thursday.

Beware the Laddy Lucky 15's. Treble odds only where competition. I got caught recently in their North Strand Branch. I now do by bets in their Camden St branch.
I have strong loyalty to Laddies if entering a bookies shop. A pleasure to deal with and very friendly staff. On track too I give them my business if their odds are on a par with their competitors. Pat and Sean on track always give me the odds if I ask, within reason and pay out with a smile if I win. Hayley will let me know where the money is gone. That's service. LONG LIVE LADDIES. |

Loyality like patriotism is a fine thing Soapp! but neither of them are any good when it comes to gambling, your right when you say there are nice people working in laddies,,you quote! Hayley will let me know where the money is gone. That's service. ..if your 5k ahead with them and want to put a large bet then maybe another story.... BUT if it works for you i wish you well m8
