Some ****s on horse racing forum blaming A.P. Mc Moy . Takes all sorts i suppose. Most probably talking through pockets.

You can't blame McCoy I've seen horses have much worse falls than that and get up as if nothing had happened, just one of those things its happened before and will happen again, is a shame as the horse had so much potential sadly we'll never know how good he could've been, but racing will move on as it always does.

The horse had given an exhibition of slick jumping up to that point and looked to be travelling all over the reigning Champion hurdler.A sad loss for connections and indeed racing in general.

Very sad
One of the sweetest travellers around.
His fall in the Betfair Hurdle last year was a real sickener but todays he didnt get up from.

That is a shocker.....to see his legs go in all directions was horrible to look.

I wonder did the horse suffer a painful and long death. I would be all for taking out a gun and shooting it on the spot. Looked a horrible sight.

Such a shame!!!!!!!!

Just saw the replay there now and it was a sickening fall and dreadful for connections to lose such a horse in that fashion. Was all over the opposition.Possible lost a Champion Hurdler?.

Its horrendous when it happens.A beautiful animal, the apple of his trainers eye, just so sad. Golden Cygnet all over again.

Just one of three to die today . Big price to pay for our sport , but there is no alternative I am afraid .  All concerned with Darlan are rightly gutted , would have won and challenged for favouritism in Champion Hurdle  , but now it looks made for Hurricane .

a lovely strong travelling horse.
such a pity.
had my biggest bet in a while on him, i thought so much of him. looked a champion hurdler to me, if not this year, next.
RIP Darlan.

Very very sad, as low as I've felt after a race for a long long time.
Strong travelling, slick jumping and would have laughed at the current champion.

no doubt in my mind the champion hurdler was lost today.

Don't think he wouldve won the champion myself, just look at his form at the track.... a loss a a nk win to high storm. completely different conditions to what he faced today. Wouldve been found out going up the hill i suspect. ROR is a good stayed and is suited by the track, h'fly would beat him on the bridle in Ireland but will likely have another fight on his hands come march, I don't think h'fly will win the ch mind .  a desperately tragic end to a v talented horse.

A 6yo with only 8 previous runs. Had the world at his feet.
I suspect they ran Binocular against HF as a yardstick for this lad who they knew to be much better.
