I have to confess I am really scratching my head over this one in terms of finding a bet I am confident about. As most of you know I advised the Ravens pre conference finals when 9/1 was still available. However I was convinced most of the regular season that the NFC was the stronger division and the superbowl winner would come from that side. The total points line is somewhere around 47 pts and if pushed I would go for unders. As for the hcp lines I would slightly favor the Ravens getting the points in what I think will be a very close game. In a nutshell I am happy with my 9/1 on the Ravens without being confident. If people want a bet maybe the unders is the way to go. I will wait and see what dk comes up with as he usually has his eye on a wide range of markets. This has the makings of a great game and well worth the effort to stay up for despite the tedious game breaks for American adverts. GL to all and here is hoping it is a great game

I think you will collect on your 9/1 docket and good luck to you as you have been on hot shot form.
The fact as I have alluded to previously is the Forty Niners kicker David Akers is in crisis, his confidence is shattered and they will have no confidence in him, this may mean they will go for it on fourth down this could lead to some more points.Either way its that weakness makes me think the Baltimore Ravens will continue their great run,one other factor could be they seem to have sussed out how to play Kaepernick,he hardly ran at all against Atlanta.
Report mr phantom February 3, 2013 12:41 AM GMT
I hope so wild. I agree regarding Akers but not sure thats enough to sway it in the Ravens favor. How the Ravens defense deal with CK will decide the game
Report Rocketfingers February 3, 2013 12:47 AM GMT
I like the Ravens on the spread i have to say but i do think the 49ers are the best team, it's a really tough call but GL with your bet. I like the Overs as well but i'm afraid the Ravens will run the ball a bit more in this, for me no major punt but i think i'll have 2 small punt on the Ravens +4 and maybe a bit bigger on the Over 47.5. My biggest bet may come in running if i can get the line down to low 40's early on.

Hi Guys

Big dance is almost here.

Like Mr P im finding it real hard to call this tonight.
I too had a nibble at 9s before the Pats game and i think ill just sit on that for the game outcome.

Been looking at all sorts of stats.
I even went back to last seasons Week 12 meeting of these teams. Baltimore won 16-6 at home.
Bit of a snooze fest with not much going on.
Obviously Kaepernick in for Smith playing in this one the main big difference. But outside of that Its hard to find Mismatches on any part of the field.
SF have the edge in most phases,
Baltimores run defence didn't have the best season. that could be the best way for them to attack. But Baltimore will probably defend run first and dare Kaepernick to throw at them.
Baltimore do have the edge in the passing game but i dont think it will be bombs away to
Torrey Smith because the 9ers secondary is useful.
Actually both defenses are useful which would steer me towards a low scoring game.

Punting wise if i wasnt on the outright i would happily take the +4 baltimore.

I will be taking the unders to cover the price of the beer!
With a low scoring tight game a small bet on Draw-Draw 66-1 for fun.
A lot of the players yards seem a little high but one i think is low enough
is Randy Moss. Going back to Baltimore trying to take away the run +34.5 is a bet.
And sure i might aswell do him first TD 20-1.

Wildman touched on Akers and i agree. Ideal scenario would be this comes down to an Akers kick
over 45 yards, in overtime of course ;-)

Thats my lot for now!

Anyone going out for it??

Garveys is the spot here in Galway for the Superbowl, should be full of young yank cheerleader types to keep you entertained during all the ad breaksLove

As for the game I see Ravens at 7/4 as the value play(Betfred). This is a side who relish the underdog tag, they will not be phased by the occasion and with Flacco playing out of his skin and the Ray Lewis factor, the momentum they've built up in this playoff run can see them overcome the 49er's. Kaerpernick and his crew are an excellent side but are far from unbeatable and with key players returning from injury they have not looked as steady in defense lately as they did in the regular season, I can see Flacco picking off any weaknesses there. Ravens grizzled old D unit will be gunning for CK tonight and he needs to be very careful when stepping out of the pocket tonight as they won't be holding back.

Also done Ray Rice 7/1 and Kaepernick 9/1 for 1st td scorer with their double or treble the odds offer should they go on to score 2 or 3 more tds in the game and have an interest in Flacco, MVP at 3/1.

Great night in store, enjoy it all and BOL with your bets!

Flacco mvp 4.7 here, forgot to checkCry
Report Rocketfingers February 3, 2013 6:01 PM GMT
Vernon Davis over 3.5 receptions - Ravens have struggled coping with tight ends all year, Laddies are 1.91 here would not take much lower though but should have a good day. I think it's the best bet of the props below.

Longest TD over 45.5 1.91 with Laddies

Flacco over 1.5 tds 1.95 with Pinny - he's thrown for at least 2 tds in every game since Caldwell became the coordinator, excluding the Cincinnati game where starters were either pulled or didn't play.

Pierce over 33.5 rushing yds - Just think Pierce could have a good day on the ground here.

Boldin over 4.5 rec @ 1.73 with Fred or Over 5 Rec - 49ers figure to keep their safeties back and keep everything in front of them. This could give Boldin plenty of chances for catches

D. Walker over 1.5 rec - He has had at least one catch in every game this year with Kaepernick starting at qb and has been targeted at least three times in 5 of those 9 games

L. James over 25.5 rushing yds - Like Pierce, I can see James having a good day rushing the ball he's fast and 1 or 2 plays could get this number

Good Luck and enjoy the game even Wildclown

Many staying up for this?
Report mr phantom February 3, 2013 10:53 PM GMT
I am staying up Rocket, watching at home. I see we are in agreement again dk, the punting pariah that is Phil Agius of the RP has gone for the 49ers which can only be a positive.
Report Rocketfingers February 3, 2013 10:56 PM GMT

Rocket have all them bets clicked already? Impressive stuff!
Mr P I'm hoping That punt **** up doesn't bite back :-0
Wasn't the worst call with the field position.
Not a bad end to the half with a field goal.

No not all of them mate but most have and most are looking ok, i had a nice bet on the Davis one.
Report mr phantom February 4, 2013 1:04 AM GMT
I was thinking the same dk re Rockets bets. Where do you stand on them? Flacco over 1.5 TD's in anyways......on another note I did not check the hcp lines and prices today what was the best on the Ravens? I have a fella trying to tell me he backed the Ravens plus 4 @6/5 which is total bollicks as I was sure plus 3.5 points was best going
Report mr phantom February 4, 2013 1:05 AM GMT
Now he says plus 3.5 6/5 the Ravens was that available?
Report Rocketfingers February 4, 2013 1:10 AM GMT
You know Mr P at kick off i'm pretty sure i seen Ravens+5.5 10/11, so possible. Spoils lines all seem to scraping other lines.

Report wildmanfromborneo February 4, 2013 3:53 AM GMT
I think Russell Wilson will turn out a better quarterback than Colin Kaepernick.
Kaepernick had four chances to get the lead at the end but failed although he may have been unlucky with that no call.

I think wildman is right On Wilson too! Two very exciting
QBs to watch and I think next season it's the

OK dkelly 69, well done all winners. One of the best treads on here for some time.I have to say that the great belief that wildmanfromborneo had in the Ravens winning out was fully vindicated. He's been proved right again.Hope you all took note of this fact.
Report mr phantom February 4, 2013 8:37 PM GMT
Take note of what Jay? No offense to wildman but the Ravens were tipped up at 9/1 pre conference finals by yours truly and backed by others. The best thing about these threads was the great insight and knowledge and a high success rates in terms of strong bets given. Nor did any of the threads fall into the trap of becoming some silly petty childish squabbling over who said this or that so lets not go there.

Thanks to all who contributed and hope people made a few quid from the different threads.
Report JayTrumpOldTomDubbl February 4, 2013 10:10 PM GMT
Well, well Mr Phantom, you were "sratching your head" unsure about finding any bet you could be confident about, when 'wildman'quickly rode in to instill in you some of the missing item, (confidence in this case), and so on the strength of that you rode out your bet, perhaps, until your 2.34 post, on Feb. 4th, where you again needed someone to hold your hand.
Also give your self a clap on the back if thats your style, but be glad wildmanfromborneo raced to your aid at the head scratching moment.
Your obviously very full of self importance after your win, but do please read a post before you rush to congratulate your good self.
I did say say well done all winnersincl. you if you won.
Report mr phantom February 4, 2013 10:35 PM GMT
Not going to be dragged into your childish petulance Jay, take it and smear it elsewhere, and yes giving myself and others a pat on the back as well deserved. I did not have to have a bet on the game last night I was on at 9/1 plus 5 out of 5 on main playoff bets posted here so was no need. I don't put something up for the sake of it. This is not a thread for you to glorify one person and in my opinion rile other users like you do on other threads.

Wtf, don't tell people to bet something you clearly have no idea about and don't tell people to bet when the chances sare you ain't betting the suggested bet yourself.
