Corbett, who is in New York to help rebuild youth sports facilities in Breezy Point damaged by Hurricane Sandy, tweeted that the stories, which circulated in a number of newspapers this morning, were not true.
He was quoted in today's Irish Independent saying he was unaware of the result of the Lotto draw.
He said: "I have been on a flight to New York all day, I don't know anything."
The winning ticket was sold in Scanlon’s Newsagents on Liberty Square in Thurles.
Corbett admitted he enters the draw with business partner Kevin Coppinger and there is speculation that the pair have scooped the prize.
He added: "Yeah, sure sometimes we might. We're in it together – when we play, we play it together.
“I don't know, you'd have to ring the bar to find out. Kevin Coppinger back in the bar looks after all that."
