i think this has a massive chance tomorrow....i know the world and its wife say ballycasey ...having backed this fellow in both its wins i'll be taking him on tomorrow with bonisland ..ballycasey is a fine specimen of a horse and has done all that's been asked of him so far ...his bumper win from our vinnie showed he had guts , but his maiden hurdle win got me asking myself a few questions , was his jumping good ...answer it was , plus he won with his head in his chest , i'd say it was a poor maiden though , noble pageant is not exactly high class..
he also seems to need time between his race . patrick has won on him twice , ruby takes over tomorrow ....a plus many would say ...he is also stepping up in trip .....
now to bonisland ...won its bumper well at rosscommon , even if it was a little on the sort side for him  always a good sign imo...he also won over the distance at down royal , shaping like a horse that needed the step up in distance ...
his last run is a stand out for me ...though he only finish forth , to a potential champion i might add , he was not knocked about in the circumstances , although on the small side , he looks to me like he'll enjoy both the conditions and distance tomorrow and at 3/1 looks the value to me.....good luck all punters ...

Ballycasey's bumper win over Our Vinnie giving him 3lbs (6lbs) with the jockeys claim is some form, especially if you use a line through Rule The World (slammed Bonisland giving him 4lbs) who Our Vinnie beat at Cork.

Trappy looking affair in which you couldn't rule out anything as the three outsiders all won LTO and I think the top 2 in the betting are opposable.

i see were your coming from premier , read and noted , as they say in the civil service .....lots of improvement as well after its last win , but bonisland looks to me like it has a lot more to offer than we have already seen , once again the step up in distance is a big plus for this fellow...he also receives 5lb...not a bad thing either to be sure ....

Ballycasey has been a massive drifter on both his racing starts,he obviously shows nothing at home.
His bumper win at Leopardstown is top class form and his hurdle debut in Clonmel looked straight forward  yet he drifted from 1/3 to 6/4,he won that easy enough but this lad probably works badly but he is decent and I think he will win tomorrow.
What the fat man will do is another matter, hopefully he will continue to be negative about it which will make it drift,if you are going to back it wait til you see the whites of his eyes and then wait a bit more I think his best price will be at the off.

wildmanfroborneo , i'd say the plan tomorrow is let this fellow off and they'll punt him off the boards ,they will want to see if its worth taking him to cheltenham as part of their team ,  i'm starting to think i should back this now.....Laugh

i was bullish about this horse after backing it on debut and fto over hurdles.. ..but its 3rd to busty brown was a let down to me..i hope your right and the horse wins for you..i know lto was better..but i,d be surprised if it beat the mullins runner...my only bet will be days hotel,,,good luck

don't fancy days hotel tony...going up in trip a worry ,plus THAT HEAD CARRIAGE...i think rdm is the answer ...he can make the running at a good clip if neither of the other giggy horses don't want to...relth dub not the horse he was , so for me that form is questionable.......

How can you say no chance,I think the form behind Busty Brown is rock solid I think he is a huge danger to Ballycasey.
By:

When: 16 Jan 13 18:53
No dangers to Ballycasey. Busty Brown is very in and out and would get lost behind Ballycasey, also Meade's are very unpredictable since Christmas imo

I too fancy Ballycasey but I think they have consistently underestimated him,on pure hurdles form Bonisland is way ahead but Ballycasey is the more progressive,he actually drifted from 1/3 to 4/6 at Clonmel not as I said earlier.

I will be doubling up Ballycasey with Abigail Lynch in the bumper in Lingfield.

i think days was just about to feel the pinch when he made that mistake chelt , i don't like the way he trows hes head to one side either ....the jock beat the living daylights out of him after he made that mistake as well , i'd wait till they drop him back in trip....i'd say he wont have enjoyed that.....

Almost time to the off and both workrider and Wildman are probably happy ..... Workrider has the value at 3 s and Wildman as he predicted has got the drift on Ballycasey 10/11 !!!!!!

have had no bet today .... Been waiting for Drawn N Drank in the next .... Great value i think at 6/1  with Spoils ..... I know it got 10lb for winning the last day at Limerick but i thought it won like a real progresive type and could still be ahead of the handicapper ....

Was reading about the dreaper horse this morning and connections were talking about it being a Troytown horse next season so that would suggest to me they must think it's well capable of winning in this sphere

yeah , there is always one lapsy SadSad ....... winner obviously just didn t handle the terrible ground in Limerick the last day when it went off 11/8 favorite and was beaten 52 lengths !!!! !!!! ... was getting over a stone and a half aswell off my fella today .......
Mark Enright is incredible value for 5lb claim .... He s the national hunt version to what Ronan Whelan was on the flat last summer !!! ......
Does anyone know how many winners he has left till he loses the 5lb claim ???
By:
pa lapsy
When: 17 Jan 13 16:00
He has 11 on the flat and 25 nh,is it 50 wins to lose their claim? Don,t know whether the two codes combined count?

I think they are separate Lapsy ???? ....... He still has a bit to go anyway , no shortage of rides going forward either i d imagine ..... Anyone with a fancied one for the **** Hurdle on Saturday week should really look at him .....100k bonus to the winner who goes on to win any race at cheltenham

Goonyella looks like the only one with a progressive profile although having said that the race he won at limerick was awful & half the field crashed out. The fav obv has the form in the book but I'll take a chance the potts horse is still improving. Win 5.1 here. GL.
