Just read the report of an audit into aspects of the HSE operation in the Irish Independent Tuesday.
Wholesale cheating going on in transport expenses -and clearly there must be either collusion or serious negligence in the management responsible for monitoring this area. It's many Irish people cheating on their fellow citizens who give rise to much deprivation in social service provision. There's a ferocious level of waste across all areas of the public service -HSE , Universities, RTE etc. etc. Heaven knows how or even if this awful culture of tolerating excess and excusing mediocrity can be turned around. |

What is required is for people to be sacked /demoted/prosecuted as in the real world. There is no stomach in IRISH POLITICS to upset the apple cart.State currently employing a chef with no kitchen, has anyone in management ever heard of redundancy?
