cant wait for the 6N to start..if they can win the first game away to wales, then with both England and France at home we will be in with a shout....

hopefully the win over Argentina was not just a flash in the pan.. should give the team some confidence and self belief

Gilroy looks a great prospect and worth a punt for top tryscorer.

really hope this is Kidney's last season at the helm..would love to see Joe Schmidt eventually take over in his place

Have to wait to see the team we put out , mainly because of injury niggles for a variety of players . The physical intensity of the Heineken and the Six Nations is such that there are no guarantees re make up of team we put out . So have to take it match by match .

I do think there will be a high standard in the tournament this year , so looking forward to a lot of good buckles .  Picking a winner might be interesting .

I think France are a smashing bet for the grand slam. Have a manager in place who the players believe in. A squad with massive strength in dept.
England are still building, they beat an exhausted NZ team
Ireland are probably going to struggle a bit given the evidence of the last 12 months (argentina aside...and we must remember that the argentines were a pretty tired bunch by the time we got them)
Wales are the big question mark, they have the players, even though there recent form hasnt been so solid. Perhaps Gatlands concentration on the Lions will have an adverse effect on there 6N

I got some 8/1 after Frances demolition job on Australia. Happy with that.

think england are a better bet for the slam.. France are away to both Ireland and England...french only won 2 out of 5 matches last yearWink

reckon the English will be the team to beat this year, after beating the all blacks.. they will feel they can beat anyone.

England won 4/5 games last year and would have won the slam themselves had Wales not got a brilliant lucky try 5 mins from time at Twickenham

If England play anywhere near as well as they did when they beat the all blacks then only France will be able to live with them.

England beat France in Paris last year and have got France at home in the 3rd round of matches by which time they should have 2 wins and good momentum under their belts .. so yes if there is to be a slam this year England would be my pick.

France will be a different animal this year imo. They have the best players. A strong mobile pack. The ability to swallow injuries is vital in 6N. All you have to do is look at there squad.
England have to come to us and Wales, never easy.
I just feel France are going to be the strongest team in the competetion. A nice pipe opener against the Italians before a home game against Wales.
