Caballo de Marcus is now a n/r, war correspondent was a touch of 8 or 9,s before that and is now a meanish looking 7/2.
Irish forum plunge horse LTO Captain Canada and Byrnes Gortroe(first time tongue-tie) look the obvious dangers.Good luck with him. Not sure Playful deserves to be such a short favourite in the 3.00,Thats the dream at double the price on a line through War of Words should at least be very close,Courtnacatcher was running a good race in better class til falling, both are not fluent. |

It tends not to pay to go against Clonsutton bumper horses but I wouldn't be rushing to take short odds on Goldboy. He is undoubtedly a nice horse and will win races but his pedigree suggests good ground will suit him much better (several siblings only went on nice ground as did the dam). I think you won't be able to kick Byerley Babe out of the places. She left a lasting impact in her p2p after which JP made an offer. She had an issue before her Cork run and probably shouldn't have run that day. In her reappearance I'm sure she caught most peoples eye and that they run here instead of waiting for a mares bumper in Limerick suggests they are happy to take on the geldings.

thanks for that allduck , i was intending to have a punt on this fellow , i just might keep my powder dry after that....

Very good Allduck, you got the bumper spot on,Mullins unplaced and Byerley Babe winning easily(not far off evens to smallish money for a place when you put him up) WD

well done allduck....

Thanks lads. She is pretty good. I believe I said it would take an act of God to get her beat the day she ran in Cork and unfortunately she met with some misfortune before the race. I'd imagine if she hadn't been making her debut in the hoops that day she may well have been taken out. Good to see her make her mark as I think she's capable of going a long way and I wasn't just raving!

Ozymandius you googled the answer which is against the spirit of these things.
I have put up plenty of quizzes and you never answered any of them in any of your guises whereas Workrider has never failed to come up with one and did so in the Corinthian spirit. Well done Allduckornodinner all the money was for your selection everyone on course knew Goldboy not alone unfancied on the ground but no good, only reason he didn't drift further was the off course money kept coming in,I don't know of a single individual who backed Goldboy on course nor did I see anyone other than bookies backing him. |

Wildman i'd be happy enough to give Goldboy another chance on better ground. He was beat going up the back today. There's no way that a horse that is able to wheel out and dispute the lead off the bend in the Land Rover is no good. He's not a winter horse though.
War Correspondent confirmed himself to be the hound that he showed himself to be on his last two runs. Them Westerners are turning out to be a most regressive bunch. |
|
By:
I had a good look at him and you could be right as he is a handy horse that probably can't carry weight on that ground.
Interesting comment on Westerners as I have liked the look of them. |

By:
He has one really nice horse in Ballynacree who runs on St. Stephens but a lot of them don't progress as far as I can see. Many of them aren't scopey enough to be good horses and their first runs are their best. I would place Westerner on a similar pedestal as Vinnie Roe. Given the number of mares they get a few decent horses will pop up but on the whole they aren't good sires.
