mostly a card for watching tomorrow ....to many money on shots ...one i'd give an e/w chance to tomorrow at a massive price is silas mariner ,  a real back to lay ...he'll be up there most of the way so should be easy to get your stake back at least....townend a big plus as well ..good luck all punters....

Powers done that with me on Ballymac Kewell a few years ago PF.

They paid me the 11/10 on the basis of workrider supporting their mistake.

Robbed!!

Done in a shop workrider as they would not lay a price like that online and the last time I backed a dog on line with them was Royal Emperor (Tyrur Ted) and ended up with a 12/1 reserve running for me based on their ridiculous rules.

Was worth a try anyway!

Is this Don Cossack an aeroplane and should one be horsing on?

I wouldn't be having your b0llox on it Ozy - remember Mullins running Mikael D in this in 2008 against the Meade hotpot Pandorama.  MD had won a Maiden Hurdle at the track mind but Pont Alexandre must be showing them something to pitch him straight in here in a G1.

Wonder what we are going to get from Whatuthink 12.55,today? Betting at the moment is saying the last run was a flash in the pan,no doubt Davy wouldn't give him too much rope, interesting race.

i agree with princess , i was there the last day it ran ..i stood with a really big punter , tom is his name , from limerick i think , he took the odds , we stood down near the last ,   he turned to me as they ran passed us and said what did you think ...apart from dropping his hind legs at one across from the stands he jumped really well i said...but was it a race that made you think champion , not really , he did what was asked of him and did it well , i think there will be much more asked of him today....

distant , nothing worse than putting down the trap number , only to find the dogs been scratched , and you have the outsider of the party running for you....as i say these lads have every angle covered ...

big punters shaking in their boots there i'd imagine...workmanlike rather than spectacular ......

Don Cossack is a decent price imo especially at this trip,I think he should be about 1/4,Mullins's(receives 4lb) is only a 4 year old and in that ground,Don Cossack should be way too for strong for him.

a 4yo won the big one at cheltenham yesterday dj....these french breds are very hardy ....would be used to racing on that ind of ground as well....i got lucky there , layed davys mount ,  think it might have won....

i think my pick would of won there?..as they say you have to jump..sick tbh had a decent bet and a double with champagne,,,imo don cossack will win with a bit in hand today as the betting suggests..the mullins horse is no doubt decent ..but its asking a bit imo to beat don cossack fto?

WR -Untrue,a 4yo won a handicap of 10 stone in Cheltenham yesterday, massive difference to a 4yo winning of levels(except w.f.a)in that ground.

Is Herself About in the 2.25, the only play on the card for me. 2/1 is a very good price imo, ran well behind a well handicapped horse of Colm Murphy's lto and with trip and ground being no issue, would expect her to collect today in a race where there is plenty of dead wood

it was one of the most competitive races run yesterday , add in the fact it was a chase ....i'd say weight or no weight that was some performance from a 4yo .....untruth ....?

U/L Tony.
I keep telling myself to stop doing short price doubles. I will never learn.
By:

When: 16 Dec 12 13:22
Ya,you made a statement tho and it was completely untrue, there is a complete difference between a 4yo winning a handicap of bottom weight and a grade 1 of levels,I thought the "big one" at Chelt. yesterday was the international hurdle.

of course it was , still you cant knock a young horse winning a big race like yesterday at 4 yrs of age ..the point i'm making is french breds are much more forward than irish breds ....going to lay don here....

Impressive enough there from the front - Davy took some fall in the previous race and another one there, hope he and Don Cossack are ok.

I was referring to your comment about how you were comparing the 4 yo today to Unioinste yesterday. Very simplistic method you have, both french horses and both 4 yo's! not taking into account the conditions of each race separately and on their own merits. I wonder if your big punter racing friends took the short price about don cossack again today? Or did you warn them about the french 4 yo!
By:

When: 16 Dec 12 15:22
i know exactly what you were referring to mate ....i simply said what i thought , as it happens i was proved right , you with your piece were trying to demean what i said  .... better men than me have got it wrong , to say i dont take into account race conditions is simply ludicrous and not deserving of an answer ....as a aside son ...you dont tell big punters what to do with their money ....i never said they were my friends ..please read my post again , you're getting more like coco , a short attention span...i said i stood beside a big punter ....unlike you i'm sure they're informed enough to know about french 4 yos ....

I don't claim to be informed about french 4 yos though, unlike yourself! I don't know who this coco character is that you refer to either, you have lost me completely on that one.
