tony57 , i backed him the last days , ap made sure he got a good luck at his fences ,  honestly thought he had a big chance after jumping the last , until for some reason ap took him over to the worst ground , were he proceeded to slip ....not worried by willies lad tomorrow , this fellow could end up a cheltenham horse ...i'd take 11/8 6/4 tomorrow....

He could well end up a Cheltenham horse but i'd say it would be more likely in the Grand Annual than won of the big novice races so he could be put away most of the winter to ensure a handy mark

thats possible premier , but on what he did last year hes no back number and should be good enough tomorrow ...

He's another alright, didn't try a tap last time at Cheltenham and seen as Henderson trains him he will want to lay him out for that race.

Anybody willing to back alderwood tomorrow in a beg. chase at 11/8 or 6/4, either only started following racing in the last couple of weeks or is having a laugh imo
By:

When: 14 Dec 12 23:04
is that your own take on the race scp , or did md help you with that....i'm following racing i'd imagine since before you were born , i back what i see on track a lot of the time ...maybe you might enlighten us when your last visit to the  racecourse was...even put up the odd thread of your own ...judge me as you want mate , maybe just maybe i'll have the last laugh tomorrow ....maybe you just might have the grace to inform us kids why we're having a laugh....

I put up a thread of my own on Gowran just the other day in fact. I called it "Gowran Park tomorrow". And I doubt very much will have the last laugh tomorrow

starting a thread by looking for advice .... slightly different i believe to starting one that gives the ops...opinion on a race and his reasons why he thinks such and such a horse has a chance of winning or losing ..your thread did neither ....so tell me snap ...why do you think only recent converts to racing will back alderwood...

Yes slightly different to both threads, no harm in asking others opinions though is it?? That is the whole point of a forum is not?? I see no reason why he should finish ahead of darwins fox or terminal, I make it a straight match between that pair

i would be steering away from alderwood workrider, i think he is a spring horse, not one to play in the depths of winter. golanbrook ran a perfectly satisfactory chase debut at thurles and at an each way price is the one which catches my eye. i was down by the last at thurles, and after appearing to blow up turning for home, he ran on again in the final 100 yards, and to me it was a sign to take an interest next time out.

I think Alderwood needs better ground. Not saying he wont win but whatever he does tomorrow he will improve on . I was at Navan last day and have little doubt he would have finished 3rd but for slipping up. The race looks pretty open to me with at least 6 horses as possible winners so it will be small stakes.I would not touch Alderwood under 3/1.

Alderwood 5/2 now! Workrider must think all his Christmas' have come together, seeing as he said he would have backed him at 11/8 or 6/4

Very harsh SCP,not a very decisive ride and not beaten far.

How anyone would have even contemplated backing him at 11/8 today is just beyond me pa

SCP. We all get some right and some wrong .WR puts up opinions . Rather than having a go at him put up your own selections and we'll see how good you are.

I quite fancy the chances of City Slicker in the bumper workrider. Backed him at 11/10. Not very original I know, but better than backing a 3/1 loser all the same!

Was very impressed with how this horse travelled at Naas the last day. Travelled into the straight like the best horse in the race, but found little when asked for an effort. However, at this time if I am not mistaken all of the Mullins horses were under a bit of a cloud. Would expect this to win today in a particularly poor bumper by Fairyhouse standards, so You might get your Alderwood money back on this imo.

Best of luck.

I took 11/10 because I thought it looked value, in a raced that lacked any real strength and depth. Hope you got your Alderwood money back on him workrider

workrider,
i thought mullins was the danger went with it in the end ..so both of us were wrong..i carnt belive the crap thats thrown at people on here wr gave a opinion...just cos the horse got beat is no reason to try to have a go..its all about opinions...he thought the horse was value at that price..i have to be honest i thought it was the one to beat...imo i dont think the jock gave it a great ride..seemed to be cruising 3 out he took a pull and it never got back after that..as i said i backed terminal..not Manny of us would of found the winner?

no mate
i dont mind constructive criticism,..but to have a go just co,s the horse lost is silly..i put up city slicker on debut and today..it was a no brainer imo..didnt look a great race but fair play to scp...but stop the nonsense..by the way crack,n bumper tomorrow wr ..im told the mullins mob rate there horse highly?..i backed champagne james on debut and im sticking with him tomorrow but looks a good card at navan..

im refering to when you said wr must think he xmas have come all at once co,s the price of alder had gone out from what he thought was value..im not having a go scp,..but as you stated opinions are what its all about wr come unstuck today (happens to us all mate)..i just mean its silly to fall out over what wr thought was value..
