Have been doing previews since the Ryder Cup for betswot.com as the Poulter one went well and I am enjoying the gig and learning all the time.
I have previewed Hong Kong and South Africa this weekend.Hansen was of interest mainly because he is so accurate off the tee and that is a huge factor this week and he is solid in all other departments. I left him alone though as his win record is very off putting. I went for Fraser at 40s and Bhullar at 60s with an interest in Da Silva at 125s (190s on here) who is quite brilliant off the tee and the fairways but can be a suspect putter. Grace will be very hard to beat in South Africa and I am having a decent punt on him. Did Magnus Carlsson each way as well and in the smaller markets on Baldwin to be top Englisj player and Van Der Walt small on the outright at 100s and top 20 finish. Hard to keep on top of all of it as the Australian Masters is already well under way. Good luck with Hansen Deplasterer. |

Best of luck lads with your selections,no bet for myself, might do a few after the cut, will post up if i do,saving the ammo for a big westwood-tiger double at the end of the month.

Had a good cut on Scott at 4s in Ladbrokes earlier in wk. Also a tenner e.w yankee, Scott, Rory, Luke, Kaymer. Gonna hav a good wedge on the Woody double myself Huddys. WW seems to be able to close that one out!!

Yes one tournament that westwood seems to hold up under pressure, powers usually enhance a double on the 2 off them aswell.

Solid start from Anders, pity about bogey on the last though. Fraser going well D V, all early days of course, wee Rory has left himself with a lot to do though, wouldn't like to be sitting with a short price ticket now.

In the mix anyway after round 1 on a course that is punishing mistakes.
It will be interesting to see what Rory does tomorrow. He will need to make a strong start, otherwise he may well do what seems more common these days and pack it in once he knows he is out of contention and loses interest in the event, like that farce in Turkey. Amazing when you consider the season that he has had, that Rory is ranked 187th in driving accuracy on the European Tour and 156th on the PGA Tour. It was surprising to see Hansen card 3 bogeys. I would expect him to be a bit steadier than that and if he keeps them to a minimum over the weekend he should be in with a shout. Definitely a player to secure your stake at 3/1 or lower if he touches it though. |

Nice to wake up to a lovely 64 from me old buddy Anders. T2nd currently, good position to attack for the weekend and hopefully can solidify a top 5/top 10 at the worst with no sweats for Sunday hopefully.

Frank I have the back up of the top 5 and top 10, so I personally won't be laying the win part unless he goes odds on over the weekend. But if you are only on the win, take out say 30% profit on stake and either bank it or use it to trade on sunday. will still leave you with around a free 16/1 shot for saturday/Sunday & hope he can keep it up, for another trade or just to let it ride. GL.
