I'm looking at sorting out a racing trip to Ireland for a few days between christmas and NY. I am left with 2 options namely Leopardstown and Limerick.

I have been to Dublin/Leopardstown a few times before so pretty much know what to expect there. I haven't been to Limerick before so know nothing of the town or the racecourse.

Any tips/suggestions to help me choose between the 2.  Travelling with the wife and want somewhere with decent pubs and a bit of life for the evening but not bothered about nightclubs etc.

Go to Leopardstown.
Bewleys in Leopardstown do some great package deals for racing.
Luas station about 150 yards from Hotel so you have your choice of what you do in the evening with easy access to Central Dublin
