Iwas knee high to a grasshopper when i watched Pats beat drumcondra 2=1 in the 1961 F.A.I. cup final..they have lost 7 finals since then..time for a change Pats
Would really love to see St.Pats win today and I think they will. I was a supporter or the late lamented Sporting Fingal when they won the Cup and Liam Buckley done a great job there and with Pats .

Dinny Lowry (born 1935 in Dublin) was an Irish soccer player during the 1960s and 1970s.
A steady goalkeeper, he played for St Patricks Athletic and Bohemians amongst others during his career in the League of Ireland. He made 2 European appearances for Bohs. He was the 2nd player ever to sign professional terms for Bohs after signing for the "Gypsies" on March 11, 1969. This was shortly after Bohemians members voted to change their constitution and end their strictly amateur status.
He earned one cap for Republic of Ireland national football team in 1962 [1].
Had a benefit game in August 1962 [2].
He was Shamrock Rovers trainer during the 1980s and 1990s.
Made his Pats debut in 1952 after earning one schoolboy and 2 youth caps. After playing for Bohs for 2 years he spent the same time at Sligo Rovers. Honours

I believe it e10 and e5 entrance for Adults and Kids respectively at today's match. Great value. I remember watching Pat's in the 80s when Paul McGrath played in midfield for them for a short time. Their biggest problem today will be nerves given their much publicised wait for another Cup victory.

Absolutely fantastic day out and obviously delighted with Derry's win.
Took my 13 yr old boy to the game (his 1st final) and it really was a fantastic occasion.A great atmosphere generated by both sets of fans.
A pity some-one had to lose that game but that's the joys of football and after the lows of 2008 it's nice to win it again.
Must commend the FAI as well on their pricing policy for the game. There were loads of kids there supporting both sides and that can only be good for the future of the game here.

Workrider is responsible for my minor new found interest in LOI football, watched this final and thoroughly enjoyed it,seemed the fans had a great time there didnt appear to be any animosity. Noticed a lot of children and some real good looking women in the Derry crowd that should get some crowds back.
