Cheers Huddys, ya you never got going this season, should be a right tight league next season. Pats are a decent side although not sure if there is that much cut to them.

Sligo Rovers and a Sligo GAA player had an argument earlier, the Rovers player turned to him come back when you've won the All Ireland
Silence bar a lot of lads laughing

As a Meathman I am delighted for Gary Rogers.......a decent goalkeeper and a nice fella. The Meath Chronicle will no doubt have a good write up about Gary on Wednesday......fair play to him.

Best team won the league, but it was handed to you on a plate by Rovers capitulation. My memories of Sligo costing us 3 in a row linger, so you shower were just a better option than that lot. The only "Sligo" man I'm happy for is Joey N'Do. LOI legend. All 5 goals on Saturday were scored by ex Bohemians btw. Once we were kings!

Thanks soldier and its a few days like this that make all the hammerings and bad times worthwhile - saw grown men crying. the passion for sligo rovers around sligo town on saturday night is something i have never seen before . The manager and especially the committee deserve so much praise as the showgrounds was looking fantastic on saturday. Compare that to the sh*t that we were served up in the aviva on friday night and in kazakhstan , i do wonder about why the league of ireland is so badly supported in general. If the fai want to be taken seriously and improve irish soccer in the long run , they would need to consider cutting back on whats been thrown at the national team and instead concentrate on improving facilities and promotion of our league. These gob****s are making a profit on our league with the tv money and entrance fees higher than the prize money being given out. By the way , pats are a good team and i was disappointed with the way the game finished.

They've plenty of colour up around the town. I'm not the biggest soccer fan, particularly Irish club in which I know little or nothing about but you have to admire Sligo Rovers Football Club.. "It's like your typical rural GAA club because it means so much to the locals. It’s unique. The celebrations will be wild because, when you consider the size of the town, the support base is huge. The place will go crazy."
Ol' garrison town
Read that piece from Alan Smith in the examiner.
